VMWare Architect for State of Oregon
Location: Salem, OR
Duration: 6+Months

Required Skills:
VMWare 6.5 and Certificates including SSL.

Responsible for the planning and engineering of an organization's systems infrastructure.
Includes the implementation and design of hardware and software. Monitors the performance of systems.
Typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and at least 6 years or equivalent experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Works under general supervision.
May lead and direct the work of Contractor staff.
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Provide diagraming (Visio) for planning and implementation of system architecture.

Design, configure and deploy a network DMZ containing Internet facing information systems, network access control lists (ACLs) and Application groups configured. Identify and deploy internet facing applications including exchange forwarder, DNS, Active Directory and other servers as identified. The DMZ will include the separation of IIS from middleware (Redhat EAP 7 and WebShpere).

Work with a vendor to implement a Multi-factor solution for users accessing Information Systems. Information systems include: VPN access, network, server and application infrastructure.

Design and implement a micro segmentation infrastructure to restrict and monitor East-West network and application traffic between development, business functional testing, quality assurance and production environments.

Work with other team members to support, install, configure maintain and troubleshoot infrastructure including: VMWare 6.5 and Certificates including SSL.

Create documentation for installation and maintenance of infrastructure projects.

Provide documentation and knowledge transfer within the team to handoff resource management.
