Marks is hiring a Visualization Designer for our Marks CGI Chicago facility!

Position Summary:

Purpose is to create world-class visualizations of products for market-ready imagery, animation or video. Responsible for applying advanced knowledge in 3D CGI Visualization to lead assigned tasks internally and support presentations to clients externally. The role will report to the Studio Manager and take creative direction from the Producer and/or Director of engagements. The position is based in Chicago, IL.

Primary Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Advanced knowledge in 3D CGI Visualization (what your craft is)

  • Materials: Build and apply physically-accurate colors, materials, and finishes

  • Lighting: Apply advanced lighting techniques

  • Composition: Create scenes and define camera settings

  • Animation: Understanding of building product-based animations

Lead tasks (how you apply your craft internally)

  • Tasks: Lead tasks assigned by Client Service or Producer of engagements

  • Rendering: Understand optimized render processing

  • Workflow: Suggest process enhancements to improve quality or optimize workflow

Support presentations (how you apply your craft externally)

  • Assets: Provide visual assets for presentations and/or release to clients

  • Co-present: Present visualization portion of presentations to clients when appropriate

  • Service: Support Producer in building client relationship

Software Experience:

  • V-Ray experience required (Keyshot, Corona or other rendering software a plus)

  • Maya experience required (3DSMAX or other modeling software a plus)

  • Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects) experience required

  • Physical-based material design a plus

KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate, Data Management and Visualization Engineer to join our KPMG Lighthouse - Center of Excellence for Advanced Analytics. Responsibilities: * Work in cross-disciplinary teams with KPMG industry experts, client, user focus group, data scientist to gauge client ideation and business requirement into effective high quality professional visualization for consuming analytics, understand user profiles, competencies, and priorities * Provide User experience inputs to D&A team on report / screen / dashboard design * Able to create a structured storyboard / presentation from discussions, white-boarding, workshops * Utilize interactive drill-downs, movements, and highlights to add layers of insight, and engage users to explore data * Utilize analytics to explore data, and identify key trends and insights from multi-faceted, and high-dimensional data, and work with data scientists to create diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive insights * Rapidly iterate, prototype, and implement visualizations that meet client visualization needs, considering composition, color, texture, and optimizing the depth and information density for the target user * Proficient in using visualization technology (such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlik) from data discovery, dashboard prototyping, to productionize large scale visual analytics platform implementation, performance tuning and optimization. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Information Design, Interaction Design, User Experience, Human Computer Interaction, Informatics, Data Science, Computer Science or a similar field with five years of experience; or a Master's degree or PhD with two years of experience * Solid analytical skills and basic understanding of statistical and machine learning models. * Proficient with data management and integration, data engineering concept, design and development * Ability to perform data tasks using a variety of SQL, and preparing data for visualization using ETL tools (such as informatica, Alteryx, Tableau Prep) * Familiar with cutting edge cloud data technology (such as Redshift, Snowflake, Azure DW, BigQuery) * Solid understanding of visual composition and visualizations; familiarity with ethnographic research preferred * Experience with one or more of the following data visualization software (such as Tableau, Power BI or Qlik) * Ability to travel up to 80% of the time; Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future KPMG LLP (the U.S. member firm of KPMG International) offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package.
