Visual Operations Manager

HUGO BOSS as one of the leading premium fashion brands is founding a subsidiary with the aim of bringing all material leftovers of the HUGO BOSS AG into sustainable use. The subsidiary will operate under an own branding (current working title "REFAB") and with an own organisational set-up.

The Visual Operations Manager will manage all locally driven Visual Merchandising Projects for the US, supporting both Retail and Wholesale. This role will be key in sourcing materials and services from external suppliers and negotiation all vendor services for competitive rates. This person will work closely with the Global Store and Window Design team to ensure that designs and creative for local projects follow brand directives. The Visual Operations Manager will also be responsible for the coding / processing of all invoices, and support the Sr. Director of Visual Merhandising in budget analysis and management.

The Visual Operations Manager will also directly manage all Interns supporting the VM team. They will provide daily instructions and leverage to support ongoing operational tasks. The position will report directly to the Sr. Director of Visual Merchandising. Some travel will be required to visit project installations and to meet with external suppliers.

What you can expect:

Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:

BUDGET MANAGEMENT

• Ensure project budgets are in line with budget projections set out by Sr. VM Director.

• Approval and coding of invoices via invoice-line.

• Maintain regular communication with Accounting to ensure vendors are paid in a timely fashion.

• Conduct budget analysis regularly to identify cost savings opportunities.

VISUAL DISPLAY CAMPAIGNS / VM SPECIALS / BLOW UP PRODUCTION

• Manage the SAP ordering process of the Seasonal Window Campaigns, VM Specials and Blow Ups for the North America across all Channels.

• Ensure Campaigns are installed in line with the Global Standards.

• Work with VM Field Team to ensure Area VM support is provided in line with installations.

• Close working relationship with Global Store and Window Design to amend schemes/ develop campaigns wherever necessary to suit the local market.

• Manage StorIQ Campaigns for these projects.

SUPPLIER MANAGEMENT

• Source materials and suppliers/ services to support the local VM function.

• Regularly negotiate and bid projects to vendors to maintain competitive rates.

• On call/ On site management of installation teams across the Hub during the installation periods.

• Follow up on installation standard, ensuring works are completed and meet expectations.

INTERNSHIP MANAGEMENT

• Manage, mentor, and support all VM Interns.

• Provide daily / weekly task / assignments that support the Visual Operations Manager.

• Leverage Interns to support field VM team during critical time periods (Model Store / VDC Installations).

• Conduct semi-regular touchbases, and provide critical feedback of work.

Your profile:

• B.A Degree in Visual Merchandising or Fine Arts preferred

• Minimum of 3-5 years of retail project management experience (within VM, preferred)

• Minimum of at least 3 years of management experience

• Experience in a similar position where the ability to meet & exceed targets has been demonstrated in time sensitive conditions.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills at all levels

• Strong time management skills, with the ability to effectively multi-task and delegate responsibility as needed.

• Ability to be flexible & adaptable to the need of the business

• Experience in networking & building relationships

• Proficient utilization of business systems & latest technology

• Passion and Knowledge for the Brand & the ability to represent the brands attributes

• Willingness to constantly learn & develop

• Strong computer skills including PowerPoint, Excel, Word etc. (Adobe Creative Suite background preferred)

• Fluent in a second language would be an advantage (spoken & written)

The expected base salary range for this position is from $100,000 - $110,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered.
