Visual Merchandising Specialist (On-Site)

• This role is on-site 5 days per week located in Hoffman Estates, IL*

About the Role

The Visual Merchandising Specialist is responsible for design and execution of model store planogram sets in our stores.

• Merchandise model stores to represent company visual standards, merchandising guidelines, and brand integrity.

• Merchandise options and select store assortments to support product initiatives.

• Maintain constant changes in model stores.

• Maintain functionality of model stores and backroom including small fixture assortment and cash wrap supplies.

• Create eye catching visual displays that lead the customer through the entire store.

• Attend product turn in meetings, identifying key messages and product innovation to use while merchandising the stores, capturing a clear image of the desired result.

• Maintain knowledge of industry and marketing trends including but not limited to merchandising techniques, fixturing, trends, and product.

• Work closely with buying teams to ensure an accurate representation of product is always present in model stores and planograms.

• Supporting merchandising design for concept stores.

• Create and maintain a personal planning calendar to manage deadlines.

• Support Planogram Production team with projects as assigned.

• Support with on-site, field In-Store Presentation projects.

• Support with any additional projects as assigned to support the company goals and objectives.

About You

• Associates degree required or equivalent.

• Minimum of 1 year retail experience required.

• 2+ years visual merchandising experience, preferably in a major retail chain.

• Proficient in Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Self-starter with strong attention to detail and an eye for accuracy.

• Critical thinker that uses solution-based problem solving when executing tasks.

• Excellent time management skills.

• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment as well as working independently.

• Creative, self-disciplined, and capable of identifying and completing critical tasks independently and with a sense of urgency.
