  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develops and maintains an effective and involved work force through performance leadership, cross-training, education, communications and policies which support inclusion and team effectiveness.

  • Monitors master production schedules (JIRA), and other production reporting tools to establish priorities and production plans to meet all goals/deadlines.

  • Proficient in digital image capture and manipulation of video, product photo, and studio/lifestyle/location photography for print media and Internet use including but not limited to: catalogs, web, mobile, flash graphics, emails, and social media initiatives.

  • Well versed in photography/videography capture and edit, problem solving, designing and implementing workflow procedures and quality control. Provides technical assistance in troubleshooting department functions and equipment and assists in training new associates on equipment functions and procedures.

  • Manages and implements change to ensure continuous improvement. Maximizes equipment and personnel capabilities, applies new technologies, and/or production capabilities. Researches the applicable industry for effective ways to improve photo, imaging and video techniques.

  • Maintains effective communications as required with Manger of Creative Operations as well as Marketing and Purchasing personnel regarding: production schedules, photo standards, merchandising tactics, creative concepts, and overall photo and video process improvement/development.

  • Proficient in photography and video equipment, applications and software

  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Directly supervises 10-15 Visual Media associates. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and appraising performance through reviews; rewarding and disciplining; addressing complaints and resolving problems; initiating procedures that lead to the hiring/discharge of Visual Media associates, including outsourcing for temporary help.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Have attained a Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university, 2+ years of production experience and 1+ year of supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Photographic and Video equipment operation expertise / experience

Be proficient in photo, video, imaging and design specific software, competent in Microsoft applications.

Possess a practical knowledge of photo production process, staff/resource allocation, establishing priorities, outsource coordination and production scheduling.

Proven leadership abilities through high performance and participative management.

Be a self-starter, able to understand and willing to apply Footlocker Inc. policies and procedures.

To learn more about the incredible impact we're making on both our local and global communities, Click Here! * Arranges layout of graphics and copy and participates in creative project development based upon supplied guidelines and instructions, brand protocol, available space, knowledge of layout principles, and aesthetic design concepts. * Works as a part of a team throughout the entire design process. * Researches current marketing and communication trends to ensure designs are appropriate for the target audience; communicates with superiors during development process; confirms project specs/mechanicals during preproduction phase. * Creates digital and print experiences considering current and future usability, functionality, product knowledge, brand standards, sales trends, and available information. Suggests design possibilities and confers with stakeholders as opportunities arise. * Meets regularly with superiors, design team, creative department, and other marketing personnel. * Proofs each assigned project for quality and accuracy prior to proofing; presents design concepts to clients for approval. Collaborates with requestors/stakeholders to align project expectations. * Makes changes as indicated on proofs and requested by client taking into consideration set standards, communicating directly with commenters as needed. * Follows a production timeline to ensure tasks are being completed by their scheduled due dates. Communicates with supervisor on any issues that may jeopardize a project deadline. * Demonstrate collaboration skills by providing input and seeking direction from stakeholders and design supervisors. * Actively seeks to improve knowledge in sales, reporting/impact metrics, marketing, purchasing, brand establishment, customer support, and other areas of the business. * Stays on top of current hardware/software and understands different design application techniques in a fast-changing business. * Works autonomously and as part of a team; collaborates with stakeholders on all assigned projects; mentors Associate Designers and Visual Designers I on projects as requested; and independently seeks out new techniques and design applications and communicates with creative leadership. * Collaborates with creative leadership on project prioritization and scheduling; assists in problem-solving and workflow optimization to ensure fast, professional results.
