We're looking for a designer that can be a swiss army knife of sorts and be able to adapt to new challenges quickly. On a day-to-day basis, that may mean designing and delivering digital marketing assets, resizes, and branded content, or collaborating on strategic decisions. They will be responsible for producing a high volume of creative assets, from concept to final production, while maintaining strict design standards.
As a Visual Designer on the Marketing team, you'll need to:
Work collaboratively with designers, copywriters, video editors, and Marketing managers on project lifecycles, from concept to post-production.
Work with the Marketing team to solve day-to-day challenges, fulfill the creative vision, and ensure brand is aligned across all touchpoints.
Understand designing for user empathy, not designing just for aesthetics.
Translate customer insights and performance data into design concepts for AB tests and creative campaigns.
Research competitor examples and best practices.
Produce pixel-perfect visual assets for print and digital experiences including web, display ads, presentations, brand, email, social media and blog content, etc.
Help evolve and define brand assets and guidelines.
Understand business objectives to provide design solutions, and effectively receive and implement creative feedback.
Be willing to work on design production tasks.
Keep up-to-date with all current design technologies/trends and developments.
Work independently and check in frequently with manager to solve problems and keep project status updated.
Strong portfolio of work across different mediums (applications without a portfolio will not be considered)
Bachelor's Degree, or higher in Art, Design, HCI, or a related field
1-3 years of relevant work experience
Fluent in design software such as Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Keynote
Core visual design skills including color theory, grid systems, typography, illustration, photography, and web design
Knowledge of best design practices including file formats, image optimization, and naming conventions
Proven ability to prioritize and deliver against multiple deadlines and deliverables at once under tight timelines
Contract, Contract-to-Hire and Direct Hire available.
Track record of creative problem solving to meet specific objectives within constraints
Possess excellent communication and organization skills, positive and collaborative attitude, and a
strong eye for detail and commitment to quality
Experience with and understanding of basic marketing best practices (ie advertising, email
marketing, in-app messaging, social media marketing) preferred
Familiarity with responsive web standards or designing for user-interface preferred
Experience working within a startup, agency, or other fast-paced environment preferred
