Visual Designer

EXPLO drives educational innovation, returning curiosity and exploration to teaching and learning so that every child can thrive. To support our initiatives, we are growing our team and searching for an experienced Visual Designer to be a creative partner and aid in the evolution of EXPLOs brand, creative platform and digital environments by working with internal and external stakeholders to build out a diverse set of offerings.

As our Visual Designer, you will develop designs based on user needs, business goals, and branding guidelines. Primary responsibilities include creating the concepts, artwork and layouts for digital projects based on creative briefs, and working within brand guidelines to create layouts that reinforce the brands style and voice through its visual touchpoints.

Requirements

Qualifications for Success:

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
• Proficiency in Sketch and its integration with InVision
• Keen eye for visual principles and execution in products and marketing campaigns
• Ability to maintain high creative quality and strong attention to detail while operating in a fast-paced, iterative environment
• Accomplished designer in all mediums; print, digital, video, environmental, etc. with a current understanding of digital design best practices
• Excellent layout, design and typography skills across all mediums
• Ability to select and/or create meaningful icons, photography, and/or illustrations
• Proficiency in lay out of balanced digital pages that showcase the brand, considering mobile first as design standard
• Capable of translating insights and information into visually compelling information graphics, such as, journey maps, infographics, brochures, and marketing material
• Collaborative spirit where work is shared early and often to seek out constructive feedback from team members and leads
• Skilled at working across organizational boundaries and external agencies to influence and deliver results
• Willingness to roll up your sleeves to meet business and product deliverables
• 3+ years of experience working with a consumer brand
• Experience designing for building brand value through design in eCommerce environment

Must be authorized to work in the United States. No relocation available. Position is currently fully remote and may continue to be partially remote, however, this position is based in Norwood, MA. EXPLOs office is within walking distance of the commuter rail station and downtown Norwood, and the bus stop is right out our front door.
