Job Description

As a Visual Design Lead at Rightpoint you are responsible for translating ideas and concepts into useful and engaging solutionsmainly websites, intranets, mobile and responsive frameworks. You'll be working with other visual designers, user experience designers, front-end developers, and content strategists. We are looking for people who are passionate about design and eager to collaborate with other individuals to solve problems. Attention to detail and ability to uphold and deliver work at the highest quality standards is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Design solutions that meet or exceed strategic objectives

  • Create visual solutions

  • Apply brand identity systems, typography, photography, color and other items to create innovative solutions that align with business and user needs

  • Provide quality assurance on creative deliverables

  • Build and maintain rapport with team members

  • Foster a collaborative environment

  • Communicate and succinctly articulate concept rationales

  • Work in partnership with multiple clients

Qualifications

  • Strong design portfolio with 8+ years design and interactive work experience

  • Ability to articulate and present creative ideas

  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently under pressure with careful attention to detail

  • A solid working knowledge of the latest versions of applicable programs

Mac OS, Photoshop and Illustrator, etc.

  • Understanding of HTML/CSS and the capabilities of web browsers

  • Knowledge and experience in working within a responsive framework

  • Passion for design and eagerness to collaborate with other creative people

  • Mature appreciation of the balance between creative and business opportunities

  • Self-motivated, organized and accountable

Required Education
8+ years in a related field. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Qualifications: Your Experience includes: * 10-15+ years of industry experience, creating and evolving a visual design language used across multiple applications, as well as mobile. * BFA degree in visual communications, graphic design or a related discipline. * Experience across multiple release cycles being "the" visual designer in a design team. * Experience in solving complex problems through visual design. * Experience in designing with the user in mind. * Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to work with product managers + developers to realize exceptional application visual designs. * Experience creating design systems / design scalability and documentation. * Deep understanding of core visual design principles and how they apply to product design. * Excellent portfolio that proves visual ability in executing visual designs for applications as well as design systems. Your 'portfolio site' is in itself a testament to your skill. * Experience in executing designs for different brands and visual identities. * Deep knowledge of Adobe and Sketch a must.
