The Visual Communications and Training Specialist will work with the Manager of Product Education to support development of product knowledge and sales training for Health Enthusiasts across the country. This position will translate training needs and objectives into effective, fun, and compelling training content that will aid the stores in driving sales and service. The individual must be a savvy self-starter who is able to prioritize, meet aggressive deadlines and think "outside the box" (AKA creatively)!


  • Increase Health Enthusiast product knowledge, customer engagement, and ability to drive sales through inspirational use of imagery and written content.

  • Support monthly / weekly in-store events and seasonal calendar by translating educational needs into engaging training leveraging current training delivery vehicles.

  • Work collaboratively with the vendors, business leaders, and corporate staff to design and recommend appropriate training delivery methods and tools to best impact results.

  • Manage Retail Education Teams SharePoint page; ensure content is up-to-date and posted in a timely manner. Update SharePoint calendar on the Retail Intranet to align with Product Education resources that are posted to V University.

  • Represent Retail Education Team in weekly Content Review Committee meetings

  • Production support for weekly video series known as What Supp.

  • Conduct on-going evaluations to ensure effectiveness of programs and materials and recommend modifications and enhancements as necessary. Utilize data and feedback to help determine course of action, ROI and future needs.

  • R&D Stay on top of cutting edge training trends. Conduct periodic surveys, research new training techniques and best practices, explore innovative ways to deliver training content with a focus on new technology and systems to ensure consistency across all store teams.

Other Functions:

  • Visit with stores and district managers periodically.

  • Support all facets of Retail Education as needed

  • Perform other duties as required.



  • Bachelor's Degree in Training or related field or equivalent experience

Required Knowledge:

  • Developing and implementing training platforms in multiple formats.

  • Graphic and/or instructional design experience

  • Understanding of how to provide excellent customer service in specialty retail environment

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint)

  • Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, *Illustrator)

  • Preferred- Web-based learning programs and tools (Articulate Storyline, Articulate Studio)

Experience Required:

  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in an instructional design or training position.

Skill and Ability:

  • Adept at managing multiple projects effectively and with urgency and speed

  • Excellent written and verbal skills to successfully communicate, facilitate, and present learning contentINDCORP

Support the ongoing communications to employees through emails, newsletters, social media, Town Halls, etc. Plan and support employee programs and events including annual/reoccurring events, one-time activities and ongoing programs. Be responsible for the efficient and effective operation of all of these to deliver a high-value experience for all employees. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES * Serve as a cultural ambassador by embracing and demonstrating Century 21's Higher Purpose (Delivering Value to Live Better) and Core Values (Respect, Communicate, Teamwork, Honesty, Grow, Positivity and Amaze) in daily interactions while supporting company Communications initiatives as assigned. * Assist with ongoing and daily communication to employees in corporate, retail stores and distribution centers, as needed. * Lead the efforts surrounding the Company's monthly newsletter and internal Instagram account. * Contribute content to the Centurian (the Company's tri-annual magazine) as well as content for the Digital Messaging Boards in Stores and the Distribution Centers. * Support the bi-monthly recognition program with various communications to highlight different areas of the Company. * Support the Company's Culture initiatives by overseeing programs and projects that result from the Flourish Inspiration Team (FIT) to improve our workplace culture. * Support components of the company-wide Annual Town Hall Meeting with various duties assigned by Director of Communications (time and action plans, presentations, scripts, logistics, guest lists, gifts, creative and AV needs, etc.). * Coordinate and manage employee events and programs that embody C21's Higher Purpose and Core Values such as, but not limited to, new employee networking events and tours of stores and distribution centers that foster business acumen and enrich relationships within the organization. * Support the planning and execution of employee events surrounding new store openings. * Coordinate volunteer initiatives through our partnership with UJA Federation of NY to allow employees to give back in our communities. * Assist in the execution of the Company's employee survey and culture audit. * Coordinate existing employee perks including Plum Benefits, employee discounts, Weight Watchers, Flu Shots, etc. Recommend and implement new perks based on employee feedback. * Support the administrative needs of the department by organizing and archiving communications and pictures as well as updating employee data files and targeted invitation lists. * Support the execution of Internal Communications short and long-term strategies and perform other duties as assigned.
