Job Description:

Reports to: Store Manager

Position Overview

The visual co-manager is responsible for creating appealing and eye-catching merchandise displays complying with the monthly VMD that lead the customer through the entire store. He or she may also act as a second in command assisting the store manager in the overall running of an individual store.

People Development

Network, recruit, hire, develop and retain high quality management and associates to fill store profile and succession planning

Ensure all associates complete training per company guidelines

Lead by example by training, developing and providing ongoing feedback and coaching on product knowledge, selling skills, visual merchandising and delivering the customer experience

Customer Experience

Ensure an excellent level of customer service as a priority at all times by executing and achieving the Customer Experience consistently through regular assessment, coaching and follow-up with team

Implement all visual merchandising standards, directives, promotions, and overall cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and stockroom

Drive Sales + Profitability

Meet or exceed profitability expectations for the store in sales, payroll, shrink and conversion

Create and execute strategies to maximize store sales and control expenses Produce window displays, signs, interior displays, floor plans and special promotional displays.

Act in alignment to the organization's culture, products, image and target market.

Operational Effectiveness

Meet all payroll expectations

Controls company assets by meeting all loss prevention measures

Execute and comply with all company policies and procedures

Additional Responsibilities

Uses sound judgment when making decisions

Acts with integrity and respect

Adapts to changes required by the business

Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Assumes and completes other duties as assigned by supervisor

Job Requirements

Minimum two years manager experience with a proven track record for driving sales and profit results and training and developing a team of individuals

Personal computer and detailed report analysis

High school education or equivalent preferred

Some heavy lifting in excess of 30 pounds

Scheduled shifts may require standing for a minimum of eight hours

JOB SUMMARY The Division Manager is responsible for leading the execution responsibilities in Northern California and achieving all volume and distribution goals for The Wine Group, Inc. portfolio of brands through all Channels of trade including Retail Chains, On Premise and Fine Wine/Specialty Retail. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND REQUIREMENTS * Develop and implement Annual Operating Plan which includes financial, volume (shipments and depletions) and distribution objectives for Northern California * Deliver desired results on overall market Scorecard * Responsible for building and owning relationships with Southern Glazer's Nor Cal Senior Management (GM, VP of Wine, Channel VPs). Become lead point contact for GM and VP of Wine and establish optimal business rhythm at all levels within SGWS * Ownership of strategy, pricing and program execution in all channels of trade * On Premise – Includes POD Growth and Top 500 Program * Off Sale – Includes Top 250 Program, Regional Chain Management * Chains – Includes all National and Regional Accounts * Managing a team of 5; including 3 TWG Area Managers that have independent lead responsibility for On Premise, Chain Execution and Off Sale as well as 2 additional Premium Portfolio Area Managers that are focused on General Market (On/Off) * Trade Development Collaboration – Work closely with TWG/SGWS Headquarter teams (Chains/On) to maximize National/Regional accounts * Responsible for organizing and conducting Quarterly Business Reviews * Lead effective distributor sales meetings – all levels of management * Develop annual phasing calendar, implement monthly focus brand goals to raise distributor awareness of our priority initiatives, and distributor execution share of mind, with measurable metrics * Be a thought leader; introduce creative sales execution concepts, share across state lines/regions if successful * Manage budgets in the following categories: Pricing, Incentives, Travel & Entertainment and other departmental expenses * Administrative Responsibilities: * TWG/SGWS invoice management and processing (SOA, LMF, CQDs, etc.) * Complete & review monthly Scorecard reports (depletion & distribution) with RVP * Manage any necessary program trackers * Forecast Monthly Sales and utilize Nielsen/VIP reporting * Ensure all sales practices are compliant with state & company policies/law * This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for their job.
