Visiting Professor Of English

Summary of Position: The Division of Modern Language, Literature & Communication at Indiana Wesleyan University seeks applications for a one-year Visiting English/Writing Faculty position on the residential Marion, Indiana campus.

The ideal candidate should show evidence of personal faith in Jesus Christ, full agreement with the Wesleyan-Arminian theology, and commitment to liberal arts learning and the integration of Christian faith and learning.

The position is for the 2024-2025 academic year, beginning fall 2024.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Teaching courses as assigned, including Academic Writing, Research Writing, and possibly World Literature or upper-level writing courses

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications: According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.

Education

• Master of Arts or terminal degree in English or related field

Experience

• Teaching experience at the collegiate level is highly desirable

• Excellence in knowledge and skills in relation to the appropriate field(s)
