POSITION SUMMARY:
The position requires an experienced nurse clinician and nurse educator who holds a registered professional nursing license in the state of Oklahoma. This individual shall possess at least a master's degree with a clinical specialization in medical surgical nursing.
The position is a renewable 9-month academic appointment beginning on January 2nd, 2024. Academic rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience related to the position. The BSN Faculty Member reports to the BSN Program Director at the University of Tulsa.
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES:
The ideal candidate will teach the equivalent of 12 credit hours each semester within the integrated curriculum in the undergraduate nursing program. Teaching responsibilities may include medical-surgical nursing and nursing foundations.
Service responsibilities include work with department, college, and/or university committees as well as student advising and mentoring, taking an active role in recruiting, curriculum development, assessment, accreditation, and making connections with related programs on campus. The candidate will also participate in scholarship activities as defined by Boyer's Model - scholarship of discovery, integration, application, and teaching.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited university; graduate of an accredited college/school of nursing; current unencumbered license as a registered nurse in Oklahoma or eligible to obtain a license; 3 years of clinical experience in medical-surgical nursing; demonstrated teaching experience in an academic setting; excellent clinical skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with patients, students, and other members of health care and academic team; commitment to excellence in teaching and learning, in a baccalaureate level program, consistent with the program vision, mission and goals; and an enthusiasm for contributing to the university community.
