We hope you’ll consider joining us. Job Description The Department of Environmental Studies and Sciences at Siena College invites applications for a visiting faculty position for the 2024-25 Academic Year. The term of appointment is September 2024 through June 2025.

Salary is commensurate with academic credentials. The successful candidate will teach a 4-course load each semester, with primary responsibility in the fall for our required introductory course: Environmental Science.

The two associated environmental science lab sections count toward the 4-course load. Other assignments may include introductory-level courses in Biological Diversity, Principles of Ecology, or Environment and Society, or an upper-level elective in the candidate’s field(s) of expertise. Annual Salary: $60,000.00 - Instructor, $77,410.00 - Assistant Professor The hiring salary above represents the College’s good faith estimate at the time of posting in compliance with the Albany County Salary Transparency Law.

Job Requirements The ideal candidate will have demonstrated undergraduate teaching experience. While a doctorate in an interdisciplinary environmental field is preferred, qualified candidates with a Master's degree in a related field will be considered. Review of credentials will begin immediately.
