Summary:

The Department of Sociology at George Washington University seeks a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor of Sociology in the broad area of criminal justice to begin as early as Fall 2019.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must have completed the Ph.D. in sociology or relevant field by date of appointment. Applicants must also be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching, mentoring, and research in the areas of criminal justice, law & society, and/or criminology or a related field.

Applications are invited for a tenure-track position in Geography at the rank of Assistant Professor with a specialty in Human Geography. Specific Duties and Responsibilities: In addition to specialty courses within the scholar's area of expertise, this hire would teach courses such as: Introduction to Human Geography, World Regional Geography, Economic Geography, Political Geography and Methods. Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must have a Ph.D. or will have completed all requirements for a PhD in Geography or an allied field by the date of appointment.
