The Jack Welch College of Business & Technology (WCBT) invites applications for one Visiting Assistant faculty position in the Economics program starting August 2024.

A doctorate in economics or a graduate degree with considerable ongoing business experience is required, along with evidence of excellence in teaching and/or teaching potential. ABDs will be considered.

The ideal candidate will be expected to:

• Teach principles and upper-level undergraduate economics courses

• Conduct quality research in the areas of economics or have considerable ongoing business experience.

• Contribute to innovative curricular development activities.

• Participate in department, school, and university-level services, including advising students.

• A solid background in econometrics and a programming language like Python is preferred.

SHU's Jack Welch College of Business & Technology (WCBT) is AACSB accredited and enrolls over 2,000 students. It is housed on SHU's West Campus, approximately one mile from the main campus.
