Visiting Assistant Professor, Biochemistry or Molecular Biology

Job Summary:

The Muhlenberg College Department of Biology invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor position in Biochemistry or Molecular Biology for the 2024-2025 academic year. The Biology Department is a welcoming community of students, staff, and faculty who are dedicated to undergraduate intellectual growth.

We are committed to hiring and supporting faculty who can contribute to the development of a culturally diverse community through their teaching, scholarship, and service. The successful candidate will be student-centered and committed to diversity-affirming teaching and research in a small liberal arts college environment. Applicants should have a PhD in a relevant discipline, and demonstrated interest in teaching and mentoring undergraduates. Teaching load is three courses per semester, including one to two sections of an intermediate-level Biochemistry course, with lab, each semester, and an additional course (to be determined based on need and candidate interest). Courses in Biochemistry serve both our Biology and Biochemistry majors. This is a full-time, benefit eligible position, scheduled to conclude May 31, 2025.
