Seeking an Virtualization Engineer with a deep understanding of VMware technology stack including

Expertise in VMWare VSPhere (5.5 6.7) with the ability to:

Design and deploy lifecycle management/refresh

Define and document best practices as well as verify those practices are being maintained by support teams

Perform regular health checks of the environment

Architect application projects within the virtual environment

Mentor other engineers

Enhance updates/deployment models by writing new code.


  • Strong foundational infrastructure skills, including architecture principles and design patterns of distributed systems in private and public cloud.

  • Strong knowledge of physical hardware platform VxBlock, VxRail, Cisco UCS

  • Good understanding of Network layer traditional network design as well as VMWare NSX

  • Good understanding of Storage configurations and complexities Vmax, Pmax and Unity storage

  • Good understanding of inner dependent tools such as NetBackup

  • Basic knowledge and consideration for other VM products such as vRealize, vRA, vROPs, SRM running in Alights environment

  • Basic knowledge of Zerto and Turbonomics

  • Scripting skills using any of the following: PowerShell, PowerCLI, Python, JSON, JavaScript, etc.

  • Experience with VCE's RCM process a big plus

  • Experience working with REST APIs is a plus.

  • Ability to identify risks early, fails fast, and improve on the next iteration.

  • Being a strong believer in infrastructure modernization and the power of automation. storage, network, converged/hyper-converged environments, including vSphere.

Lead and improve security solutions for the Security team, provide strategy and mentorship for current and future initiatives, projects, and solutions. Responsibilities * Provides security strategy across an organization, including architecture, solutions, controls, and processes. * Engages partners across the organization via email, phone, online and in-person meetings to support and deliver on a vision of security strategy. * Designs, builds, and drives to completion, security solutions in collaboration with internal teams and MSSPs. * Designs, deploys, configures, and operates a range of security solutions that support a US-based, multinational organization. Services may include: EDR, Event Monitoring, mobile threat, email, IAM, and cloud security. * Designs and integrates Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions into security architecture and design. * Conducts risk assessments, analyzing data from various sources, and incorporating business needs to articulate risk. * Engages stakeholders on compliance with third-party security standards (e.g. CIS Benchmarks) and compliance requirements (e.g. SOX). * Defines both primary and compensating security controls based on a mixture of business, technical, security, and third-party compliance requirements. * Creates documentation and diagrams for internal and external audiences. * Communicates hands-on security solution procedure documentation for security operations teams (L2). * Analyzes data, and building informational security reports from different sources for a multi-tier audience (e.g. Executive, Management, and Technical). * Executes highly meaningful information to management regarding the negative impact on the business caused by theft, destruction, alteration or denial of access to information and systems. * Handles regular operations and health monitoring of a range of security solutions (e.g. monitoring release notes, ongoing maintenance, tracking product evolution). Qualifications * Bachelor's degree Required. Advanced degree preferred * 2+ years' experience in IT Security.
