Researches and Resolves High Dollar Insurance Payer Underpayments through concise understanding of Payer Contract language and respective payment calculation. Position requires individuals with high mathematical acumen, ability to access and assimilate data, articulate a strong case, confidence, and strong persuasion skill set. Results oriented individual will be required to work through various options available to liquidate the most difficult high dollar underpayments. Candidate will demonstrate ability to grow strategic payer relationships and obtain understanding of payer system to navigate through claims processing centers. Critical thinking skills are necessary, as well as ability to see trends that require escalation to the Payment Compliance Director. Responsible for bundling similar cases not resolved through the standard Payment Compliance process and escalate to Dispute Resolution Team for legal action.

Duties (included but not limited to):

  • Analyzes hospital claims to identify contractual underpayments or billing errors.

  • Resolves underpaid claims from various payer products including HMO, PPO, Medicaid, Medicare and Workers' Compensation.

  • Articulates contract provisions to representatives from healthcare payer companies and government agencies.

  • Contacts payer companies via phone or correspondence and initiates request for payment.

  • Performs appropriate follow up with Payer and gains commitment for payment.

  • Escalates Payer lack of response and/or lack of payment within Payer organization as appropriate.

  • Identifies and communicates contract interpretation issues and language discrepancies to leadership as appropriate.

  • Identifies Payer company trends and communicates trends to supervisor for further action/escalation.

  • Serves as a subject matter expert in Payer contract dispute resolution process.

  • Practices and adheres to the "Code of Conduct" philosophy and "Mission and Value Statement"

  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • Master's degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE

  • Two years of related experience preferred.

This position is responsible for overseeing the successful creation and modification of documents and drawings in 2D and 3D from conceptual design through successful installation for electrical and specialty system construction by leading and instruction the virtual construction team of VDC Detailers and VDC Modelers. The ideal candidate would be proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word), able to interpret drawings and prints of all construction trades, have knowledge of the electrical construction trade and of the National Electric Code (NEC) (required), electrical construction and installation practices, and have strong written & verbal communication skills. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS * Experience: 6 years of electrical detailing experience, demonstrate leadership abilities, and proficient in the use of AutoCAD MEP, Revit MEP, Navisworks Manage KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Performs work to the standards of VDC Modeler, VDC Detailer and Senior VDC Detailer. * Works with the VDC Manager and other Virtual Construction Supervisors in balancing resources across all branch locations. * Monitors all upcoming projects that require detailing and modeling along with available resources and assigns appropriate detailer or modeler to projects. * Provides ongoing mentoring and support training for detailers and modelers. Develops and evaluates direct reports. * Review VDC estimates and scope created by VDC Detailers and Senior VDC Detailers for completeness and accuracy. * Monitors progress of detailers and modelers to ensure they are on track to meet budgeted hours and cost goals for detailing and modeling. Works with the VDC Manager and Group Leader - VDC to mitigate exposure on projects that are at risk of exceeding established goals. * Performs QA/QC checks on detailer documentation. * Demonstrates the ability to plan for, complete, and implement assignments and responsibilities in a timely manner. * Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
