Do you want to be a part of a collaborative team for a growing eCommerce company? We are looking to grow our Virtual IT Support Team by bringing on talented, motivated individuals looking for a broad scope of technical support.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide First level support to Wayfair virtual employees for all IT-related concerns and technologies such as: Windows desktops and Windows Server, Exchange Server 2010, Skype for Business, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File/Print Services, Spam/Virus Protection, VOIP telephony, Cisco networking, Google G Suite, Cisco VPN, and our own proprietary software

  • Maintain, analyze, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and computer peripherals

  • Ensure virtual personnel are able to utilize their hardware and software; Cisco phones both hardphones and softphones, Cisco Finesse, Calabrio Call Recording, and Headsets.

  • Utilize Microsoft SCCM to image PCs and deploy software

  • Support conference room equipment and prepare rooms for vendors.

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain loaner equipment.

  • Above average communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate via phone, email, instant message and in person.

  • Troubleshoot and support our Ethernet networks (LAN/WAN) and VPN connectivity

  • Help seek out and implement ways to make all system and process more efficient

  • Above support may be for employees on-prem and/or remote workers

Qualifications:

  • BA or BS degree from a 4-year college or university

  • Current IT support experience (Virtual IT Preference)

  • Previous on-site experience with direct end-user interaction

  • A high degree of technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

  • Solid understanding of Microsoft technologies - Active Directory experience, including user/computer, user profile, and Group Policy Object management

  • A strong sense of customer service, attention to detail, and desire for organization

  • Ability to multitask and work in a team setting

  • Experience in a helpdesk or other service-oriented IT role a large plus

  • Scripting/automation experience with Powershell, VBScript, PHP, or Bash, a huge plus

What kind of candidate are we looking for? We are looking for candidates with mechanical, electrical, plumbing and construction related backgrounds and a strong technical knowledge of Autodesk BIM and other BIM design software. The candidate will provide technical support, consulting, training and implementation services. In-depth industry and software knowledge is required. RESPONSIBILITIES - MEP * Support the success of the Microdesk sales team by providing technical presentations and educational sessions on industry trends * Provide support, training and production within the Autodesk Fabrication series of products * Support large scale MEP Coordination projects in the form of modeling, clash detection and project management * Perform in-depth assessments to investigate, uncover and understand a customer's business issues * Be able to demonstrate, map / integrate disparate AEC technologies to solve design workflow inefficiencies * Identify and propose options for improvement or resolution of customer issues and relate those solutions directly to the customer's business goals / issues * Develop technical proposals for implementation of solutions in conjunction with Business Development & Consulting Services teams * Deliver engaging, professional online product demonstrations to customers * Provide Technical Support to help customers with technical issues * Deliver training classes at one of our Autodesk Training Centers (ATC) or at client sites * Provide feedback and recommendations post service delivery * Grow and maintain respected, long-term, trusted advisor relationships with customers and other members of the Microdesk team involved with the engagement RESPONSIBILITIES - Construction * Deliver and manage consulting engagements with construction industry clients on major projects throughout the New England area * Develop and maintain project BIM Execution Plans * Develop, implement and manage Contractor's BIM processes. * Facilitate collaboration between the contractor, subcontractors and construction manager. * Act as contractor's primary point of contact for all BIM related issues and correspondence. * Manage 3D coordination/clash analysis meetings * Prepare quality control and clash reports. * Manage coordination and exchange of subcontractor models * Manage coordination and preparation of contractor's BIM related submittals and deliverables * Identify and propose options for improvement or resolution of customer issues and relate those solutions directly to the customer's business goals / issues * Provide feedback to Director and Sr. Consultants on additional opportunities * Grow and maintain respected, long-term, trusted advisor relationships with customers and other members of the Microdesk team involved with the engagement * Educate construction industry clients on the latest BIM and technology processes REQUIRED EXPERIENCE * Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related industry * Minimum of 3 years of experience in the industry * Professional registration (P.E., etc.) and industry accreditations (LEED AP, etc.) preferred * Demonstrated and recent direct experience with the process, workflow and use of Autodesk Revit MEP and analysis software from conceptual design through construction * Professional experience using Navisworks Manage * Knowledge and experience with BIM workflows on a construction project * Knowledge of construction contracts and workflows including submittals and RFI processes * Understands the workflow between various members of the design team * Experience as an active team member with BIM-based MEP coordination Benefits: Microdesk offers highly competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package including Aetna Medical with company funded HRA or HSA, Ameritas Dental, EyeMed Vision, Health and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts and Commuter Spending Account options, company paid Life, STD and LTD insurances, 401K and Profit Sharing Plan with 30% match and generous paid time off and sick time policies.
