Job Duties
This position would provide the Army National Guard with safe, high quality, cost effective, and timely building and grounds maintenance. As well as assist the Regional Operational Maintenance Managers (ROMMS) in the maintenance, repair, and minor construction of all associated buildings and grounds within the assigned region. This position will serve as the primary preventative maintenance Trade Tech II for the Virginia Beach Readiness Center.
Minimum Qualifications
Essential in the following:
Interpersonal skills
Memorization
Attention to detail.
Ability to read, write, comprehend, and follow direction. Both orally and in writing.
Mathematical calculations
Organization skills.
Ability to perform minor indoor and outdoor maintenance work which would include use of the following:
Ability to work with contractor and guide them when needed.
Various ladders/lifts
Various custodian and mowing equipment
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
Must have a valid driver's license
Must be able to obtain a CAC Card which requires an extensive background check.
Must have documented trade experience in at least one of the following Carpentry,
HVAC, Plumbing or Electrical.
Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
Must be able to obtain VA Herbicide / Pesticide Certification within 12 months of hire.
