POSITION SUMMARY:

VIP Hosts are responsible for booking tables and creating lists at the venue. They responsible for negotiating minimums and seating tables during the shift at the appropriate table minimum established by management. Additionally, the they will be responsible for but not limited to numerous other marketing activities such as email blasts, visitations, sector outreach, nightclub outreach, and Social Media requirements. During the course of the nightclub shift, they will interact with customers in a number of ways, including seating customers according to the established venue table minimum schedule, answering questions about the venue and property and communicating minimums and special information about each table with the service team inside of the venue. They are responsible for presenting themselves as a positive reflection of the venue while also marketing to potential customers. In addition, they will be charged with generating additional referral tables from sources in certain business sectors to expand the sbe reach. They will also assist in the development of systems and procedures that will go along with this initiative.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of one year of experience in a high volume, service focused environment preferred.

  • Must possess an in-depth working knowledge of social media marketing.

  • Self-motivated, constantly striving to improve knowledge of marketing, and VIP Services.

  • Possess the ability to work as part of a team.

  • Must exhibit a focused attention to detail, while working in a high-pressure environment.

  • Must be professional, organized and courteous at all times.

  • Able to write and speak in a confident manor.

  • Must be able to maintain excellent customer service skills while maintaining high service standards in a stressful, constantly changing work environment.

  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

  • Must be fluent in the English language, both written and oral. Multilingual skills are a plus.

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.

  • Must look professional at all times while working at the venue i.e. tie, pressed suits, shirts, pants, and suitable shoes.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (include but are not limited to)

  • Acts as an ambassador of the venue, marketing the venue and all products offered to the targeted customer base.

  • Actively markets the venue through available social media outlets.

  • Is aware of the impact individual behavior will have on the venue as a whole, presents oneself as a public relations steward at all times.

  • Collects customer information for the venue database, while constantly striving to increase the size of personal clientele.

  • Constantly provides customers with accurate information about the venue and property as well as entertainment offered in each.

  • Has the ability to effectively communicate table minimums with potential customers in a positive manor.

  • Grows revenue by maximizing available space and upholding table minimums at all times.

  • Welcomes and entertains all customers to the venue professionally and courteously, according to the established venue sequence of service.

  • Works with a sense of urgency to anticipate customer needs. Work with the same degree of urgency to assist other team members when the opportunity arises.

  • Maintains knowledge of the venue floor plan and table numbers, seating the room evenly and consistently per venue management's instruction.

  • Communicates all relevant information to the service team, putting the service team in the best possible position to execute flawless service.

  • Works with a high level of professionalism towards all customers, ensuring they will return to sbe venues.

  • Communicates with management, hosts and service staff immediately to rectify any and all customer needs and requests.

What You'll Do Provide the guests, either on the phone or in person, with information and support in a professional and gracious manner. Receive and coordinate reservations and seating for daily and/or nightly service, all the while providing outstanding service to our guests along the way. Act as an advocate for the restaurant, be a creator of ridiculously personal experiences, and develop relationships with guests that will compel them to return. Some of Your Responsibilities: * Greet all restaurant guests, be knowledgeable about the area and provide information when asked. * Provide fair and consistent seating of guests. * Accurately handle paperwork, stock and tidy the host stand. * Receive incoming calls, accurately book reservations for guests. * Taking room service orders if applicable. * Check floor and tables for accuracy and cleanliness, assist in bussing tables. * Help servers by refilling beverages when needed. * Perform other restaurant and customer service related requests for guests. * We all wear multiple hats here at Kimpton. You may need to take on responsibilities outside of this job description at times, as we all do. What You Bring * Previous customer service or hospitality experience is preferred. * Able to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment. * Able to learn, retain, and present product, menu and allergy information to guests. * Knowledge of or ability to learn the restaurant point-of-sale system and reservation system. * Excellent interpersonal communication skills, a real passion for hospitality, and you love crafting unique and memorable experiences for guests. * Food Handler Certification required. * Flexible schedule and are able to work weekends, nights, and holidays when needed.
