Job Summary / JobPurpose

Collaborates withinternal and external stakeholders to implement the goals, objectives, andaction plans of Saint Joseph mission and ministry fund violence preventiongrant. Assists in creating the violenceprevention strategic direction.

Essential Functions

  • Demonstrates understanding of health, social services, andadvocacy or community based service

  • Excellent speaking, writing, and analytical skills; publicspeaking, consultation, and training skills

  • Ability to communicate clearly with all internal andcommunity-based stakeholders and potential funding sources

  • Ability to gain the confidence and support of multiplestakeholders

  • Interest in violence prevention

  • Flexibility and willingness to travel. Ability to work and thrive in a fast paced,dynamic environment and shift priorities as needed

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to coordinate multiple projects anddeadlines in a high quality manner; attention to detail

  • Demonstrates understanding of capacity building models ofcommunity health and development

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education /Accreditation / Licensure (required & preferred):

  • Bachelor's Degree required. Preferred areas of study: Community Development, Humanities,Communication Humanities, Liberal Arts, Social Work

Experience (required andpreferred):

  • 3-5 years' experience in social services, social work,community organization.

This position will provide substance abuse intervention for patients eligible to participate in the clinical research study.
