Vinyl Group Lead

Primary Responsibilities and Frequency:

• Assist Dept. Manager by coordinating employees work activity/schedules within dept.

• Coordinate orders being built on daily basis; organize and complete paperwork

• 1st line of supervision within dept.; handle minor discipline; input on evaluations

• Stay in constant communication with Dept. Manager to coordinate work performed within

and to update on regular progress

• Act on behalf of Dept. Manager in his/her absence.

• Attend required continuing education courses

• Compile dept. attendance on weekly basis

• Communicate work schedules/overtime requirements, etc. to line employees

• Lead employees in pace/quality, etc. to maintain needed shipping out on time quotas and production goals.

• Review production and operating reports and resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs, maximum, and prevent operational delays.

• Inspect machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization

• Coordinate with Department Managers and Human Resource Manager to resolve employee grievances and safety issues.

• Responsible to utilize all manufacturing assets to meet production, quality, maintenance, safety, on-time delivery and financial goals.

• Assist Human Resource Manager in HR functions in accordance with plant, division, and corporate policies

• Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by Plant/Production/Department Manager.

1st shift hours:

Monday

• Thursday 6 am

• 4:30 pm

Overtime as needed and requested.

These are base shift hours and can be subject to change due to business conditions.

Mandatory overtime will be on the as-needed basis.

Equipment used to perform jobs:

Vinyl saws, welders, and cleaners. Powered hand tools.

Constant standing. Occasional operation of office equipment. Constant use of hearing. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
