Vinyl Floor Installer

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Vinyl Floor Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in flooring installation, particularly with vinyl flooring materials.

As a Vinyl Floor Installer, you will be responsible for accurately measuring, cutting, and installing vinyl flooring according to specifications and industry standards. Attention to detail, precision, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

1.Measurement and Preparation: Accurately measure the area to be covered with vinyl flooring. Prepare the subfloor by ensuring it is clean, level, and free of any imperfections that could affect the installation.

2.Material Handling: Handle vinyl flooring materials with care to prevent damage during transportation and installation. Safely store excess materials and dispose of waste according to company guidelines.

3.Cutting and Fitting: Cut vinyl flooring to fit the dimensions of the installation area, taking care to create precise edges and seams. Ensure a proper fit around obstacles such as doorways, cabinets, and fixtures.

4.Installation: Install vinyl flooring according to manufacturer guidelines and industry best practices. Use appropriate adhesives, fasteners, or floating methods as required for the specific type of vinyl flooring being installed.

5.Quality Assurance: Inspect completed installations for quality and accuracy, addressing any issues or defects promptly. Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering a finished product that meets or exceeds expectations.

6.Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety protocols at all times.

Requirements:

1.Proven experience as a Vinyl Floor Installer or similar role, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.

2.Proficiency in measuring, cutting, and installing various types of vinyl flooring materials.

3.Ability to interpret blueprints, floor plans, and installation instructions to ensure accurate and precise work.

4.Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

5.Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks that may require bending, kneeling, lifting, and standing for extended periods.

6.Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

1.Experience working with specialty vinyl flooring products such as luxury vinyl tile (LVT) or luxury vinyl plank (LVP).

2.Knowledge of subfloor preparation techniques and remediation of subfloor issues such as moisture or unevenness.

3.Familiarity with floor leveling compounds.

4.Experience with Shaw glue down LVP products.
