POSITION SUMMARY:

The Market Clerk is responsible for charming and captivating Vino Volo customers through sophisticated customer service and assisting their team with all aspects of daily operations of the store. They deliver exceptional customer service by interacting with guests in a friendly and timely manner, using their complete knowledge market offerings to take orders, answer questions and make suggestions. You will create and deliver first-class experiences for the traveling public by impressing customers with the Vino Volo experience. The primary goals of the Market Clerk are to 1) impress customers with the quality of the Vino Volo experience; and 2) prepare and sell coffee, food, and merchandise.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Must love and take care of guests!

  • Must have a passion for guest service.

  • Exceed First Class Service standards and behavior with every guest, business partner, and peers.

  • Treat guest and peers in accordance with the core values of the company

  • Warmly greet and acknowledge guests promptly.

  • Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, answer any questions they may have, quickly serve them and tender payment

  • Ensure that all orders are prepared quickly and properly

  • Stocking the Market and Grab and Go area according to par levels and standards.

  • Totals bill accurately and accept payment following established guidelines.

  • Process all point of sale transactions in a quick, efficient manner while complying with the company's Cash Handling and Loss Prevention Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Build guest loyalty through excellent customer service

  • Works together with fellow employees and management to ensure that all guests have the best experience possible.

  • Following our service standards which requires having a positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure with cooks and other staff.

  • Maintain a clean organized work environment

  • Support other areas of the Market as requested such as answering telephones, stock work, cleanup, and documentation.

  • Responds appropriately to guest concerns.

  • Complete all side work duties which may include sweeping and mopping.

  • Enthusiastically supports decisions once they have been made by management.

  • Accountable for compliance with all local, state, federal laws, and regulations including those relating to food safety.

  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Skilled at and enjoys delivering excellent customer service

  • Highly responsible and reliable

  • Serve Safe certification for food handling

  • Experienced with and proficient in using retail point-of-sale systems

  • Successfully passing required TSA screening and background check

  • Ability to communicate in English effectively, both orally and in writing.

  • Able to work overtime or late into the evening in the event of flight delays.

  • Able to push, pull, lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds
