Who are we looking for?
Experience with performing strategic/financial analysis and building & using financial models
Business experience in the public or private sector is a plus
Knowledge of public policy, project development, and financial markets
Knowledge of public and utility accounting, tax law, the regulatory process & their application to project economics and forecasting
Working in multi-business unit environment / consolidations
Reviewing, summarizing & presenting financial / technical information to all levels of management
Special Skills/Abilities Needed:
Understanding of financial ratios and how to apply them to financial modelling
Understanding of business management, ability to synthesize diverse, even contradictory, pieces of information into an integrated picture.
Ability to originate ideas, comprehend complex concepts/datasets and go beyond traditional thinking.
Adept at finding and using data to support and refine marketing plans that integrates strategies for pricing, competition, etc.
Specialized knowledge of financial analysis and related software tools, in particular must have a high level working knowledge of Excel
Ability to cross departmental lines (e.g. legal, technical, etc.) & apply good business judgment
Ability to formulate policies, and to develop and implement new strategies and procedures
Proactive and forward thinking
Excellent English oral and written communication skills
What will you be doing?
Responsible to provide bid support for new business or contract extension by developing and utilizing financial models to support the business in bid decisions. Understand key accounting and cost benefit principles e.g. IRR, ROI, Operating income, Net Revenue etc. and have experience in modelling and analyzing the cost/benefit of investments and taking on new business. Work on high profile projects on multi-million dollars contracts that will give exposure to the Executive Management Team.
Perform strategic studies on medium to long-term strategic orientation for the Group and work on a variety of analysis projects, utilizing a range of data sets and systems to provide insight to the business in order to drive change and make efficiencies in the growth strategy.
Assist Commercial Development Team members in formulating processes and procedures to help identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities. Calls on prospective clients with members of Commercial Development Team to explain/ explore financial aspects of new business opportunities.
Be an active member of multi-discipline team with external partners and advisors to evaluate investment decisions and/or decisions involving economic commitments and project risks. Maintains relationships with financial partners and other external advisors.
In charge of producing analytical tools and reports to constantly improve the standards and service levels of our stakeholder's processes. Responsible for satisfying the Corporate Development informational needs of internal departments, such as Operations, HR, Planning, Legal and Financial Reporting, as well as the needs of external parties, such as lenders, rating agencies, regulators and equity partners and regulators in developing new business opportunities.
Assist in developing and monitoring the Corporate Development Department budget and medium term plan to ensure that they are in agreement with corporate policies and procedures as well as forecasting needs of the parent company and subsidiaries.
