Supervises the Digital Programming editing section, and functions as the chief editor, post production specialist and videographer.

  • Develops concepts, organizes, records and edits video productions to achieve desired promotional objectives.

  • Functions as producer and/or director on video projects by evaluation project objectives and target audience, operating within program format and content to attain desired goals, and staying within budget, time and facility limitations.

  • Interacts with writers, graphic designers, production crews and other participants involved in multiple productions.

  • Works with a variety of clients, including College administrators, students, faculty and staff, as well as various constituencies, project participants and other professional electronic media members, and the general public.

  • Promotes a positive image of the University that conforms to the University's mission through the creation of video and audio content and through professional appearance, actions, and interaction with project constituents and general public.

  • Exercises creative and technical decision-making during the production of single and multi-camera presentation by analyzing projects for artistic, technical time, material and budgeting requirements.

  • Facilitates media production by participating in the construction or modification of sets for studio productions, selecting and lighting suitable settings for location productions, setting up troubleshooting, and operating media equipment or assisting with the staging and presentation of productions on and off campus.

  • Facilitates an efficient office operation by assisting with maintaining files of productions, graphics, and special effects keeping records of expenses, supplies, and other associated costs, and providing required reports of production costs and inventories as directed.

  • Ensures the operational condition of departmental equipment by performing repairs, set-ups, and preventive maintenance as appropriate.

  • Helps ensure that production equipment is technologically up-to-date and meets the needs of the department by researching, evaluation, and recommending equipment purchases.

  • Supports and coordinates the Web, Social Media and Marketing teams, and ensures that the online media sites are organized, up-to-date and meeting audience needs and client objectives.

  • Contributes to work environment that encourages knowledge of , respect for , ad development of skills to engage with those other cutlers or backgrounds.

  • Remain abreast and current through self-directed professional reading, developing contacts with colleagues, attending professional development courses, and attending training and /or courses required by the supervisor.

  • Reports to the Executive Director of Communications and contributes to the overall success of the Bauer College.

  • Provides judgment and discretion in planning, organizing and directing assigned media productions with in general guidelines and objective and work closely with the department staff on common production projects.

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Requires a minimum of five (5) years of directly job-related experience

Role Summary: We are looking for a Digital Content Editor to develop, curate and produce stories and content for BHGE's corporate brand channels, namely the corporate website and social media platforms. Reporting into the Digital Content Strategist, the content editor will also be responsible for writing, copy editing, and producing content and identifying stories. This role will partner closely with other communications functions – commercial, employee, digital, external/financial communications. Essential Responsibilities: * Managing and leading production of content both as a contributor and/or managing an agency or internal resources: copywriting and/or design, and managing creative agencies where appropriate to facilitate production. * Acting as 'corporate reporter' – unearthing compelling content that meets strategic priorities to develop proactive storytelling * Working with content team to curate content that will engage our target audiences * Drafting / producing, editing content for digital sites to align with corporate communications messaging and brand. * Publishing corporate brand content through digital tools (CMS, Kapost) * Working with team members to measure, evaluate and continuously improve and report on key metrics such as audience growth, engagement, and conversions.
