The Video Specialist needs to be able to shoot and edit in a variety of mediums. Some days will require shooting and editing 50 conversational, to-camera videos.
Other days will necessitate capturing live-action of a basketball game or kayaking across the river. While other days will be spent creating a series of product GIFs for use in social media. It's always something different, and it's always something fun.
Both location and tabletop shooting experience is required. As is a sense of ingenuity, resourcefulness and creativity for stitching together compelling content from a variety of sources.
For editing, much of the video content will fall between 15 seconds and two minutes. The ability to tell a story in a concise manner is tantamount.
As is a quick-turnaround. The Video Specialist must also have a skillset to use graphics software to create supers or basic graphics over footage or still backgrounds that animate.
Video and content editing. Develop appropriate solutions within our campaign thematic and brand guidelines for the primary purpose of engagement and effectively highlighting merchandise, services or related brand messages/imagery. Ensure that each assigned project meets all production specifications prior to releasing.
Shoot footage, acting as DP and art director as needed. Develop shot plans for planned video shoots in conjunction with the Creative Manager and other team partners.
Partner and have excellent communication with Managing Producer, Photo Coordinators and script writers to ensure effective and efficient photo/video productions. Ensure shoot days are well thought out and move along efficiently. Excellent communication with talent, team members and other crew critical to success. While many shoots are local, some travel is required.
Participation in project initiation and strategy discussions with internal marketing partners including category marketing managers, eCom, and other interdepartmental marketing functions.
Must be a student of their craft and strive to stay up-to-date on the latest production techniques and content engagement being used in the industry.
3-5 years of experience
Film/Cinema Art & Science, Communications or similar with an emphasis on
Proven track record delivering creative solutions from concept through final execution. Must have a strong reel.
Ability to shoot on digital video camera, such as Canon D5
Basic expertise in audio recording & laying back to picture
