The Video Specialist needs to be able to shoot and edit in a variety of mediums. Some days will require shooting and editing 50 conversational, to-camera videos.

Other days will necessitate capturing live-action of a basketball game or kayaking across the river. While other days will be spent creating a series of product GIFs for use in social media. It's always something different, and it's always something fun.

Both location and tabletop shooting experience is required. As is a sense of ingenuity, resourcefulness and creativity for stitching together compelling content from a variety of sources.

For editing, much of the video content will fall between 15 seconds and two minutes. The ability to tell a story in a concise manner is tantamount.

As is a quick-turnaround. The Video Specialist must also have a skillset to use graphics software to create supers or basic graphics over footage or still backgrounds that animate.

Video and content editing. Develop appropriate solutions within our campaign thematic and brand guidelines for the primary purpose of engagement and effectively highlighting merchandise, services or related brand messages/imagery. Ensure that each assigned project meets all production specifications prior to releasing.

Shoot footage, acting as DP and art director as needed. Develop shot plans for planned video shoots in conjunction with the Creative Manager and other team partners.

Partner and have excellent communication with Managing Producer, Photo Coordinators and script writers to ensure effective and efficient photo/video productions. Ensure shoot days are well thought out and move along efficiently. Excellent communication with talent, team members and other crew critical to success. While many shoots are local, some travel is required.

Participation in project initiation and strategy discussions with internal marketing partners including category marketing managers, eCom, and other interdepartmental marketing functions.

Must be a student of their craft and strive to stay up-to-date on the latest production techniques and content engagement being used in the industry.

Bachelor's Degree
3-5 years of experience

Film/Cinema Art & Science, Communications or similar with an emphasis on

video production.

Proven track record delivering creative solutions from concept through final execution. Must have a strong reel.

Adobe Premier

Final Cut

After Affects

Ability to shoot on digital video camera, such as Canon D5

Basic expertise in audio recording & laying back to picture

You'll be responsible for handling post-production for various types of video content, including commercials, sizzle reels, web & social media content. You'll also support our production team and collaborate closely with the creative and digital disciplines. KEY ATTRIBUTES: * Must have advanced abilities in Premiere to compile and edit footage with strong sense for storytelling. * Strong collaborator with multiple disciplines * Ability to mentor junior content creators and manage a producer * Must have motion graphics and basic animation capabilities, using AfterEffects and Premiere. * Strong understanding of various codecs and video/audio spec requirements when versioning for various destinations. * Ability to interpret client feedback and apply to the edit, while collaborating with the project's stakeholders. * Have a strong background and understanding of finishing, including color correction theory and techniques. * Basic audio editing and mixing skills is preferred. * Ability to multitask with multiple projects at once, with the support of a project/resource manager. * Data management with responsibility for project/footage archival and backup. * Experience in production, both location and studio sets, is a plus. * Collaborate closely with vendors, such as audio engineers and production companies. * Must be efficient in personal project management, workflow, and able to meet tight deadlines * Enthusiasm for involvement in work culture initiatives, when video support is needed. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: * Associate or Bachelor's degree in related field * Minimum of 4 years of experience as an editor is preferred * Must present an online portfolio for consideration KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES REQUIRED: * Understanding of marketing and the application of video within the space to achieve client goals (Social, Digital, Promotional, Sales, Tradeshow, Broadcast, etc.) * Experience with video delivery platforms, along with how video can be measured for performance marketing (analytics) * Proficiency using Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Media Encoder, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Audition and Adobe Illustrator. * A strong eye for design with the ability to add thinking and skill to enhance and/or complete the edit * Comfortable in both MAC and PC platforms. * Ability to think, listen, write, analyze, problem solve and work with others * Team leadership experience or high potential ADDITIONAL SKILLS INCLUDE: * Advanced Animation * Sound design / audio mixing * Production (camera, lighting, location sound, direction, etc) ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: Normal office environment.
