Every day, in nearly 100 countries around the world, millions of people depend on Daktronics scoring and display systems for information and entertainment. Our displays provide vital travel information in airports and train stations and along highways. They advertise the price of gas, store specials, and more as you make your daily commute. They also enhance spectators' experiences at sporting events of all kinds, from Little League to the major leagues.
The ideal person will be a highly motivated self-starter who has a passion for visual storytelling and can think outside the box to create engaging and entertaining video content. Candidate should know how to edit with Adobe Premiere Pro and should have a solid background with other Creative Cloud software such as After Effects, Photoshop and Lightroom. Candidate should also be skilled in shooting with DSLR video equipment and have a good working knowledge of audio and lighting techniques.
Position is located in Brookings, South Dakota. Candidates must be enrolled and registered as a full-time student. Ideal candidate should be available to work approximately 15-20 hours per week during the academic year and at least 20 hours per week during the summer.
Responsibilities will include:
Collaborating with our team of Employee Communicators to develop ideas and bring them to life through scriptwriting and creative shooting and editing techniques.
Writing, shooting and editing video content which is distributed to employees worldwide and/or published on social media.
Creating video content for social media that may include employee stories, promotions, or recruitment advertising.
Conducting video interviews.
Taking pictures for our internal website, social media, or news releases.
Occasionally working with the marketing team to assist with video shoots or editing of marketing videos.
Maintaining an organized archive of video footage.
Maintaining company video equipment to the highest standards, ensuring it is always ready for the next shoot.
Complete special projects concerning employee or candidate communications.
Perform other responsibilities and duties as needed or assigned.
The ideal candidate must be a full-time student pursuing a bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, marketing, advertising, or related degree in their sophomore, junior, or senior year of school.
Only strong performers in undergraduate coursework will be considered.
Must maintain an acceptable GPA.
Unofficial transcripts or web transcripts must be submitted with application to be considered for this position.
Demonstrates excellent video production skills. Strong abilities in Premiere Pro, with background experience in After Effects, Photoshop and Lightroom. Ability to quickly learn new tools.
Strong leadership skills. Must not be afraid to propose new ideas and take charge of projects.
Ability to work well with others in a team environment and quickly complete accurate work with minimal supervision.
Excellent organizational and prioritizng skills.
A commitment and ability for meeting deadlines.
Ability to work a reliable and dependable schedule.
Background check may be conducted.
Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
