Video Production Assistant (Part-Time, Variable Hour)

Utah Valley University (UVU) is currently seeking a part-time Video Production Assistant. In this role, you'll be involved in various aspects of audio and video production. Responsibilities include audio recording and mixing for live broadcasts, location shoots, and taped productions, managing microphones, operating cameras, and assisting with equipment setup and teardown for events.

• Operates Camera.

• Assists in setting up or striking productions.

• Performs audio mixing, editing, graphics and lighting.

• Performs basic video editing.

• Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Graduation with a high school diploma or GED. Six months of work experience related to the job duties.

Knowledge

• Knowledge of camera operation.

• Knowledge of camera movement.

• Knowledge of framing.

• Knowledge of Video Production Equipment (Cameras, VTR, Audio Equipment, Lights, etc..)

• Knowledge of mixing consoles and location sound mixing.

• Knowledge of microphones.

• Knowledge of audio types and signal flow.

• Knowledge of audio file management.

Skills

• Skills in video and audio troubleshooting

• Skills in microphone use/placement

• Skills in field recorder use

• Skills in basic audio editing.

Abilities

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

• Ability to work in a team environment.
