The Role:

We are looking for an experienced Video Editor with strong storytelling and digital skills, familiar with creating successful content for big brands (financial services experience a plus).

You will be joining a team of self-shooting producer/editors as our full-time video editor and lead of post-production as we look to elevate the storytelling across our video productions.

You will be experienced in working as part of a creative team as well as comfortable taking projects from brief through to completion yourself as required, providing new ideas and creativity.

Your skills extend to the exact detail and passion needed for high quality color grading, audio mastering and compression settings whilst keeping the overall message engaging to our audience.

Primary activities would include editing of Tier 1 (high complexity) projects and providing supervision of all post production output across the team to ensure high standards of technical editing expertise alongside strong storytelling.

Responsiblities:

  • Consistently turn around creative edits with a strong emphasis on storytelling.

  • Supervise post production output across the team ensuring a consistent quality and understanding of what makes engaging content across all platforms.

  • Follow and continue to develop comprehensive standards and processes for highest quality post production processes across the team.

  • Source licensed music and stock media in accordance our brand style and collaborate with our Creative team to further develop our in-house style.

  • Collaborate with our Motion Graphics Designer to develop and enhance visual storytelling.

  • Work closely with our clients to shape their message to reach the right audience.

  • Apply corporate organizational understanding and business knowledge to establish and foster relationships with key stakeholders and customers both internally and externally.

  • Ability to adapt existing content for social channels with a strong appreciation of the requirements of different platforms.

  • Manage multiple projects, schedules and deadlines in fast-paced corporate studio environment

Experience/Skills:

  • At least 3 years of progressively complex hands on related experience as a Video Editor.

  • Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Cloud including Premiere, Audition and After Effects and up to date with the latest time saving features e.g. essential graphics. And knowledge of the latest standards of post-production systems

  • Demonstrate technical and creative understanding of audio mastering and color grading with an eye for detail.

  • Strong asset organizational skills and project tidiness to ensure seamless project handovers between team members.

  • Keep up to date with the latest developments in video across platforms and devices - with a passion for visual storytelling and current trends in video.

  • Ability to work effectively on a global team in global time zones with multiple internal and external clients across regions

  • Self-starter who assumes personal ownership and accountability with willingness to go extra mile and explore unfamiliar or non-traditional sources for solutions to problems along with strong problem-solving skills.

  • Previous experience in other areas of video production inc. but not limited to filming and studio work a benefit.

The ideal candidate is a storyteller who can create compelling, short and long form video content to support the vision of DIRTY LEMON’s content studio. Hours will be subject to change based on shoots and delivery timelines so flexibility is imperative. The ideal candidate is proficient in all aspects of post-production and has the ability to translate footage in creative ways, using high-quality video, motion graphics and a wide range of editing techniques. <br><br></p><p>This role will report to the Executive Team and will support the studio to deliver all aspects of video production, working daily in the following areas:<br><br></p><ul> <li>Edit a variety of video content from scratch under tight deadline, using impeccable creative instincts and industry best practices</li> <li>Drive all aspects of the video post-production process from ingesting footage, to creating multiple edits for various outlets, to exporting for final delivery</li> <li>Edit multiple videos lengths and sizes from end-to-end and format according to asset needs </li> <li>Turn around multiple same-day edits and handle projects simultaneously, effortlessly implementing notes from Studio team</li> <li>Experiment with different versions of an edit, exploring multiple directions if needed</li> <li>Archive footage to be easily accessed by the Exec team</li> <li>Help plan, produce and deliver all video content within budget</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p>This role is fast-paced and requires full attention of the candidate &amp; constant communication with our team.
