Plans and manages the stages of the video production process and directs the staff and talent to create final video product.
Impacts the quality and overall direction of the videos produced for UT Television.
Essential Job Functions:
Develops program concepts, budget, time-line and scheduling for video production.
Directs the activity of the technical crew, staff and talent associated with video and audio production activities.
Oversees the creative content during post production of the video.
Coordinates with producer and other staff to complete post production editing.
Designs and supervises the production of video-based multimedia products.
Supervises engineering staff to ensure video standards are met.
Marginal Job Functions Other duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelor's degree with major in Radio/TV/Film, English, Journalism or Communications.
Required: Five years of experience in electronic news gathering (ENG) and /or video and film production with an emphasis on concept development, directing and supervising professional staff. Direct experience with set design, lighting, shot composition, camera operations and post-production nonlinear editing.
May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.
Class A, B or C valid Texas driver's license depending on the type and weight of vehicle to be operated and number of passengers to be carried. Good driving record as verified with the Department of Transportation.
