We are looking for an idea machine who can fulfill writing, producing, editing, and shooting. We are searching for an experienced Video Content Creator who will collaborate with the in-house video team to make exceptional video for GOBankingRates.com and syndication partners, including MSN, Yahoo, Entrepreneur, and others. Topics will include but are not limited to money management, banking, debt, investing, retirement planning, consumer behavior, and other financial lifestyle topics. This role reports to the Head of Video.

  • Research, conceptualize, write, and produce video scripts designed to drive viewer engagement.

  • Shoot and edit video content, including styling and art direction, considering for long and short form content.

  • Highly organized workflow process and ability to collaborate with many people from pre-production thru to delivery of final video.

  • Good understanding of lighting and how to achieve specific looks for video.

  • Contribute to brainstorms and ideation of topics for standalone videos and concepts for video series.

  • Own all content by writing, copy editing, and fact-checking scripts to ensure the production of high-quality videos.

  • Continually review partners and competitors videos to trend-spot and bring new ideas to the table.

  • Conduct on and off camera interviews, and voice-over work as needed.

  • Provide training support and feedback as needed.

  • Adhere to ConsumerTrack, Inc.|GOBankingRate's style, branding, and workflow.

Requirements

  • At least two years of relevant experience, preferably in an agency or publisher environment.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Journalism or Film, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Story-driven editorial experience in both long and short formats.

  • Constantly curious about industry innovation, equipment, new video techniques, channels, and storytelling.

  • Knowledge of Adobe's creative software, including Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop.

  • Highly experienced in working with a range of cameras, lighting, and sound equipment.

  • Personable, excellent communication skills, and professional attitude.

  • Proactive, independent, and a tenacious work ethic.

  • Strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to prioritize a large workload according to ever changing business needs.

  • Clear understanding of the creative process and ability to deliver projects on-time.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and with a fast-paced team.
