Role: Workplace Experience Vendor Management Lead

Team Overview

The Global Workplace Experience team is responsible for delivery of a workplace environment for employees and visitors that is customer focused, enables productivity, reflects the BlackRock culture, and operates with efficiency. The team works with stakeholders, internal partners and vendors to ensure consistent service delivery and provide a well-managed workplace that meets business needs.

Role Responsibility

The Workplace Experience Vendor Management lead is responsible for oversight of strategic contracts managed by the Workplace Experience team. This includes Integrated Facilities Management, Document Services, Hospitality and other workplace services. This person is responsible for working across teams to ensure that standards of vendor governance are further developed and applied to strategic vendors. This includes developing and managing processes and tools to document vendor performance according to agreed standards, and maintaining consistent oversight of issues, risks, and deliverables to ensure vendor partners success.

Tasks required by this role include:

  • Establishing and driving the processes for running our global service contracts.

  • Ensuring timely, accurate and complete fulfilment of contractual obligations and ensure there are no responsibilities outstanding.

  • Driving compliance to BLK vendor policies and standards

  • Leading data and reporting capabilities for measuring vendor performance.

  • Collecting, trending, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting operational, financial, contractual, etc. data related to business partners within the Workplace Experience team and senior management.

  • Developing and maintain databases and visual data systems to ensure accuracy and completeness of data.

  • Working with budget owners to oversee budget performance, deliverables & deadlines and highlight areas of potential risk and opportunity.

  • Partnering with Operations and Finance teams to forecast and monitor contract run rates & committed spend.

  • Create and run reviews of vendor financial performance.

  • Participating as an active member of the governance team in monthly/quarterly business reviews.

  • Collaborate with the Operations teams to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations.

  • Drive initiatives and share knowledge, experience, and standard methodologies within the global Workplace organization.

  • Collaborate with Operational and Sourcing stakeholders to develop contracting & negotiation strategy with suppliers during competitive bidding events, contract modifications and daily operations. Work collaboratively with suppliers to drive value-focused outcomes for BlackRock.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in implementing complex contractual terms and commercial principles in the IFM area.

  • Previous experience in large global or regional organizations leading large IFM outsourced contracts or FM Supply contracts from an operational perspective. Strong preference for experience working within with Facilities management operations.

  • Experience of managing large global/regional contracts with in-depth understanding of legal terms/obligations.

  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel.

  • Ability to comprehend and learn new computer programs or tools.
