The Vice President, UX Design is critical in developing product vision, strategy and roadmap to create Flexera's next-generation user experience. With a focus guided on how our products land on the customer, you will lead UX design and research in collaboration with designer, Product Managers, and Engineering teams to provide design leadership, and innovation opportunities. You will provide thought leadership to resolve complex problems through effective communication and by developing a thorough understanding of our users.

The Role

The Vice President should be fluent in all aspects of user-centered design and be able to generate UX requirements when provided business requests, design graphic elements, and build UI mockups and prototypes to present to stakeholders. You will be charged with leading the user experience discipline, crafting and driving the strategy for how our products present themselves to the world.

  • Oversee all aspects of User Experience across research, conceptual design, prototyping, detailed design, usability testing, and implementation

  • Collaborate with user researchers to validate and test ideas; improve research, design, and development processes to gain efficiency, remove obstacles, and drive adoption

  • Lead and mentor a team of UX designers and researchers, attract top talent and manage the performance of your team

  • Evangelize user-centric design principles while serving as a subject matter authority to internal as well as external partners and stakeholders

  • Innovate and research emerging engagement technologies to deliver a rich, intuitive and engaging experience

  • Experiencing designing for/leading teams working on B2B enterprise products (corporate IT focus)

  • Overall thought leadership in all aspects of user-centered design principles

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities in communicating research, conceptual ideas, and design rationale within a user-centered design process

  • Experience in usability standards, design heuristics, and responsive design techniques

  • Experience with user-centered research (e.g., usability testing, contextual inquiry, field interviews)

  • Past success of building high performing teams as well as developing current team members

You should be prepared to share a professional design portfolio and provide real-world examples of how your work impacted outcomes.

This is a combined instructional design and hands-on trainer role. Responsibilities The following essential functions are the basic job duties that an employee must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation. * Support Gift of Hope's mission, vision and values; adhere to its policies and procedures in carrying out the responsibilities of this position * Create a training plan, determine resources and methodologies, design applicable training modules and materials, and implement all training activities for new Donor Resource Center staff * Participate in the identification and training of departmental preceptors * Schedule and conduct debriefing sessions with trainees and preceptors; validate strengths/weaknesses and achievement of training objectives for trainees * Write trainee evaluations and determine when a trainee can be signed off for independent practice * Conduct follow-up, live monitoring of calls and review recordings to ensure mastery of critical job skills/core competencies; identify opportunities for re-training and/or continued education for existing staff * Enhance, through the use of instructional design and adult learning methodologies, existing training for Donor Resource Center Staff * Coordinate educational sessions utilizing outside sources, e.g., processors, end users of the tissue we recover, etc. * Create an educational calendar for the department to provide opportunities for continuing education * Create, implement and continually work with Donor Resource Center management to update training documents for every Donor Resource Center position to ensure staff are qualified to perform job duties * Generate reports, create assignments and change user information for assigned staff in the LMS * Evaluate and analyze department processes; recommend changes to department management * Maintain timely, accurate and complete training records * Develop and implement annual competency assessments for all DRC staff * Other duties as assigned Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
