Global Commercial Services (GCS) serves millions of business customers around the world, from mom-and-pop shops to approximately 60% of the Fortune 500. We do that by offering a diverse range of payment and cashflow tools our customers need to run and grow their businesses, from a wide range of traditional card products, to working capital and supply chain financing, to new digital solutions that make it easy for our customers to manage a full range of their financial and payment needs.

We are seeking an experienced leader to join as Vice President of the Tele Sales team. The Vice President will lead a team of Tele Sales professionals and work with business partners to continually improve the effectiveness of the sales organization and enhance compliance, productivity, colleague and customer satisfaction. As an integral member of the U.S. Small & Middle Enterprises (SME) senior leadership team, the Vice President will also drive initiatives to continually evolve recruiting, training, sales, and compliance strategies to ensure the long-term success of the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, motivate, and develop an organization of 120+ outbound telephone sales consultants, managers, and directors in the Sunrise, FL site.

  • Drive revenue, in partnership with the Phoenix site, of over $3B annually for the Blue Box

  • Creating and maintaining a strong culture of adherence to Compliance and regulatory guidelines to support and protect the Blue Box and our customers. Be a champion of and for Compliance within U.S. SME and GCS.

  • Collaborate with business partners across GCS to create, implement, analyze, and optimize the short and long-term strategies for the outbound tele program

  • In partnership with the Tele Sales Phoenix, AZ Vice President, build on our winning sales culture across the channel with integrity

  • Lead and oversee a pipeline of $3B+ using prospect leads to drive an effective close ratio and sales cycle performance

  • Design a strategic approach to hiring, training, and retaining top talent in a demanding sales environment

  • Collaborate with the leadership team on forming a strong colleague engagement culture where colleagues understand their value to the company and are knowledgeable about the Blue Box and their business

  • Lead special projects and initiatives across the U.S. SME Segment and Global Commercial Services.

  • Adhere to Blue Box Values, GCS Sales Practices and Standard Operating Procedure and American Express Leadership Behaviors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.

  • 5-10 years people leadership experience, leading teams of 50+, preferably in a sales, account management or operations environment with a consistent record of getting results and team engagement while maintaining a high level of focus on compliance expectations.

  • Call center experience with history of improving processes and finding solutions to new challenges, using data and analytics preferred

  • Ability to identify root cause impacts to performance and using data to create an action plan to course correct

  • Ability to be a culture driver and inspire team members and peers

  • Must demonstrate outstanding leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge of the core principles and strategies of Commercial products (Small Business and Corporate).

  • Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to build a focused team that delivers results with growth in a B2B selling environment.

  • Leads through trust, transparency, and collaboration to build highly engaged and compliance focused teams.

  • Results-oriented, innovative, strategic thought-leader.

  • Partners and collaborates well with internal teams and business partners to find opportunities and continue to improve product and experiences for clients.

  • Entrepreneurial spirit with learning agility to adapt to fast-paced environment.

  • Hybrid Working Model located in Sunrise, FL.

Salary Range: $185,000.00 to $260,000.00 annually + bonus + equity (if applicable) + benefits
