The VP of Sports Partner Solutions will be responsible for developing and setting the marketing strategy, planning and management of the Sports Partner Solutions team, creating activations and strategic partnership programs as well as building relationships with internal and external clients. This role will oversee all aspects of 360, Network-only and/or Digital-only advertising campaigns, from concept through execution. The VP will liaise with Network Sales, Digital Sales and Business Development teams to lead strategic approach with clients on all ideation requests (pre-sell) and ensure successful execution (post-sell) for Univision Sports properties. VP leads the Sports Partner Solution team and participates in high-level client meetings to present ideas, assess client needs, effectively manage Client campaigns and maximize revenue opportunities. Develops and coaches Marketing Managers with category expertise; sets clear career goals and plans and monitors progress along the way. Serves as point of contact for escalation of client concerns, helps foresee and resolve potential obstacles in the ideation and execution phase. Builds relationships with key personnel in divisional platforms (NETWORK & DIGITAL SALES, S&I, LOCAL, BD) in order to effectively weave together cohesive multi-touch point offerings.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Can effectively lead and develop staff (direct report and/or support staff) as it relates to category and project/program management

  • Identify and understand category and client priorities, concerns, challenges, and goals

  • Proven leader with an established track record of creative ideation and program strategy

  • Exceptional creative writing and storytelling skills with an ability to execute

  • Provide strategic direction on creation of insight-driven storytelling-focused sales proposals

  • Oversee production/execution logistics

  • Represent Sports PST in high-level client meetings

  • Develop and coach Managers with category expertise

  • Build relationships and optimize process with key personnel in divisional platforms

  • Approvals of sales proposals, production books and recaps

  • Resolving issues and escalating to the Senior Vice President as needed

  • Prioritization of team's tasks


Required Basic Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years media-related experience; 5 years or more sales marketing ideation and execution experience in network and Digital

  • Experience managing multiple brands and stakeholders.

  • Experience with Sport Marketing

  • A strong understanding of the sports landscape, including a strong knowledge of domestic and international soccer

  • Possess equal parts creativity, strategic/marketing management, project management and sales knowledge for network and Digital business units

  • A strategic thinker able to see opportunities for content monetization and to foresee and prevent execution issues

  • Great communication and presentation skills, great analytical skills to evaluate and optimize campaign

  • Intimate knowledge of Spanish language content on both TV and Digital

  • Experience creating and executing integrated cross-platform media solutions

Desired Qualifications:

  • Spanish fluency and/or multi-cultural experience preferred

  • Expertise in PowerPoint; Keynote a plus

  • Experience managing multiple brands and stakeholders.

  • A positive, solutions-oriented and success-driven attitude

  • Extremely detail oriented with an ability to multi-task and prioritize in a high volume, high pressure, fast-paced environment

  • Ability to quickly and continuously adapt to and embrace new trends and technologies

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be willing to work at the UCI office in New York, NY

  • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation

  • Must be willing to travel on a frequent basis

  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
