The company is seeking a Segment Leader to lead the highly regarded global Calibre business organization. The role has full P&L responsibility and will lead all major functions, including product management, R&D, QA, and ecosystem organizations. The Segment Leader will lead a global team of ~750 employees in 14 countries and will report to the CEO of EDA Silicon Systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a 5-year strategic plan for the Calibre business and portfolio of products including inorganic growth initiatives.

  • Manage the Calibre organization to meet aggressive financial growth targets as part of their P&L responsibilities.

  • Work with a highly trained technical team to set Calibre product development and innovation goals.

  • Serve as the primary executive contact representing the Calibre product line with customer executives.

  • Recruit, develop, and retain top talent. Develop and nurture Calibre's already stellar reputation for delivery, innovation, and excellence with internal and external stakeholders.

  • As a participating member of the Siemens IC EDA leadership team, the position will also include senior leader representation in other Siemens initiatives.

Key Attributes:

The ideal candidate will have: (1) Senior business leadership experience in the electronics or semiconductor industry, including experience leading a software product line, (2) a detailed understanding of semiconductor development processes and related technology tools (3) a track record of distinctive growth leadership in developing market segments, and (4) executive presence and communication skills consistent with a business and industry thought leader.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar, from an accredited institution.

  • 20+ years of professional experience in the electronics and/or semiconductor industries, with at least 10 years of experience in full P&L and/or general management leadership roles.

  • Experience developing commercial and innovation strategies in a complex, multinational/multisite environment.

  • Experience with developing formal product innovation processes and roadmaps; able to use consumer insights and data analytics to support decisions; experience consolidating/simplifying product lines and marketing to a customer base.

  • Experience in leading multinational teams located in sites across the world that service a global customer base.

  • An inspirational people leader with the ability to recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing team.

  • Exceptional financial management skills; leads strategic planning and budgeting processes; interprets financial data for effective decision-making; anticipates potential issues and implements plans for corrective action.

  • Experience as an industry thought leader, including participation in industry forums, panels, and speaking engagements, and active in relevant industry associations.

  • Able to influence others through both direct and indirect networks; a consensus builder and change agent.

  • Excellent spoken and written presentation skills; ability to create high-quality, captivating presentations; confidence in communicating at all levels and sizes of audience.

  • A flexible, dynamic, self-demanding, and proactive individual; able to motivate themselves and others; a natural bias for action.

  • Active with relevant industry associations.

  • Able to travel domestically and internationally up to 50%.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA, MSEE, PhD from an accredited institution.

  • Expertise in EDA or similar software technology, with detailed experience in IC physical verification, parasitic extraction, and OPC and MDP software.

The total cash compensation range for this position is $275,900 - $524,200 and this role is also eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate's work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
