Join our team as a Vice President, Quant Analytics Manager - this is your moment to make a difference and advance the strategic direction of technology for JPMorgan Chase
As a Quant Analytics Manager within the Consumer and Community Banking Operations Analytics Data Assets Team, you will play a pivotal role in the engineering, development, and deployment of analytic datasets and solutions. Your work will help us build data assets which represent business attributes and trends so analysts can better understand customer behaviors, identify opportunities, and improve customer engagement and operational efficiency. You will leverage your solid technical hands on data transformation skills to understand the needs of diverse business units, creatively represent business metrics, and deliver actionable insights. Your ability to engage with stakeholders and technical and business partners will be key in delivering strong analytic data assets.
Job Responsibilities
Hands on data engineering and transformation joining and merging multiple data sources, recognizing business-relevant variables and data points, and convert them into data assets with metrics and attributes that creatively represent the business.
Engage stakeholders and consolidate partnerships to continuously understand business drivers, goals, priorities and opportunities.
Partner with technical subject matter experts, understand our technological environment and recommend viable end-to-end solutions, including data sources, ETL, transformation and deployment.
Lead the team and provide guidelines, best practices, and creative approaches to addressing diverse data transformation challenges using mostly SQL.
Perform ability to manipulate and analyze data, comprehend, and explain the story it represents.
Socializing, promoting, and supporting the implementation of the analytic solution, working with teams across all business units to identify and recommend ways to leverage it for specific deliverables, including dashboards, reports, adhoc requests, etc.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills.
Bachelor's degree in relevant quantitative discipline with a focus on data engineering, data warehousing, computer science and/or data-driven analytics.
Demonstrated advanced SQL skills to conduct data transformation, data discovery, validate, de-duplicate, aggregate, unveil edge cases, understand main attributes, sessionize, transform data structures, etc.
Experience working across multiple database platforms, both on premises, such as Teradata, Oracle, as well as on Cloud solutions such as AWS and Snowflake.
Clear communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues concisely.
Strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, structured approach to writing code and creating comprehensive documentation.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
Experience designing and deploying ETL processes. Alteryx preferable.
Experience working on the Financial services industry.
Experience designing and developing dashboards and visualizations in Tableau, focused on telling the story.
(For internal candidates) - Working knowledge of internal data platforms (ICDW, Cloud sources) and/or applications (Customer Assist, First Assist, IDMS, Quest, etc.)
