Product Marketing is a critical function at Druva, as this role binds product strategy to tactics needed to drive success in sales and marketing. As Vice President of Product Marketing, you will develop differentiated product positioning messaging based on an understanding of our products, customers and market, inform and validate the product roadmap, lead product launches, and develop GTM strategies to grow key segments.

You know our competitors like the back of your hand - what they do today and what they plan to do in the future. You also know our buyers better than they know themselves, including how they make their buying decisions. This isn't guesswork. You back-up strategic insights with market evidence and then use that knowledge to drive the development of positioning and messaging that resonates with buyers and empowers our sales channels to be successful.

You will collaborate with the rest of our world-class marketing team to develop innovative programs and campaigns that drive demand. An attention to detail and eye for quality are critical to your success, along with an ability to grasp and present our product's value proposition in a way that resonates and clearly articulates how we solve our buyers' problems. You are obsessed with tracking performance and have the data to prove what's working and what isn't.

The ideal candidate possesses excellent team-building, mentoring and leadership skills, and knows how to build trust and align with sales, product management, development, as well as other marketing functions. You must be able to understand sophisticated technologies and translate these into compelling stories and concrete benefits that resonate with IT and business buyers. Excellent communication skills - written, verbal, and visual - are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Products, Sales and Marketing leadership and teams to develop and validate compelling and differentiated product positioning and messaging

  • Understand the competitive landscape - be an expert on our competition and how they position and message their solutions and create frameworks to change the game

  • Create and share product launch plans with Products, Sales, Customer Success, Partners and Marketing and help align awareness and demand gen programs with strategic launches

  • Collaborate with product strategy leaders to package, price, and position new and innovative solutions

  • Drive messaging through all types of Sales and Marketing collateral and enablement: from talk tracks to pitch decks to white papers and more

  • Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to understand preferences and perceptions of customers and the market to inform our GTM strategies and communications.

  • Develop product collateral, including buyer personas, white papers, website content, data sheets, blogs, and presentations to support awareness, demand generation, and sales efforts

  • Support sales and presales with focused training and sales artifacts (e.g. battlecards, FAQs, positioning guides, objection handling)

  • Support sales and marketing efforts to design and execute on connected campaigns across all customer journeys

  • Provide subject matter expertise, differentiated positioning and messaging, and public speaking to support website strategy, SEO/SEM, in-person/virtual events and content development

  • Build scale by instrumenting best practices frameworks across product launches, GTM, competitive, content, and sales engagement

Qualifications:

You have 15+ years experience in B2B product marketing ... and you love it! The ideal candidate will be a proactive, strategic, creative, solutions-focused leader with the following attributes:

  • You have a strong background in data protection and data management; strong domain knowledge in data protection is preferred

  • Strong leadership skills and a proven ability to attract, manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing team

  • You have expert-level knowledge of SaaS technologies and platforms, B2B SaaS sales cycles, and Product Marketing best practices

  • You love great storytelling and thrive in an environment where you can share compelling narratives to customers and sales to inspire them to engage with Druva

  • You have exceptional analytical skills, specifically ability to assemble and interpret data, create executive summaries and deliver actionable business insights

  • You have strong project management skills and ability to structure and prioritize work in a manner that best fits the team and company needs

  • You have a BA or BS degree; MBA a plus

The pay range for this position is expected to be between $238,000 and $333,333/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized, non-discriminatory factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, and equity.
