As Vice President of Portfolio and Program Management, youll report to the CEO and will spearhead product team leadership (PTL), portfolio management, program management (PM), and alliance management efforts across Alector's broad product portfolio. You will lead and organize cross-functional teams focused on the development of each program, driving alignment on product development strategy and objectives. This involves complete life cycle planning and new product growth opportunities, including technology improvements, companion diagnostics and supporting technology. Moreover, you will define our project management processes and tools to be used to ensure effective and efficient management of our programs from research to clinic to commercial. You'll manage alliances with existing external partners, enabling successful collaborations. You will be influential in guiding Alector's direction, and championing and developing Alectors culture.

  • Leading product team leadership, portfolio, and program management efforts to ensure efficient and effective management of our drug development process
  • Developing strategic goals for our programs, identifying critical development objectives, and helping everyone get on the same page
  • Leading cross-functional teams comprising people from diverse disciplines - from discovery research, to preclinical and clinical, to commercial
  • Translating our goals into a plan of action; identifying priorities that support our business strategies while ensuring execution of these objectives on time and on budget
  • Driving risk are identification and mitigation planning
  • Developing and leading processes, procedures and tools to improve departmental functioning and program management
