The VP Operations has an overall responsibility for effectively leading and directing all facets of operations, facilities, retention, auditing, loss prevention, compliance and other aspects of operational readiness to accommodate the goals for Gold's Gym Corporate-owned gyms. This person will be a strategic partner and critical component of the senior leadership team and be comfortable owning the P&L responsibility for gym operations for the organization. The VP Operations will be responsible for executing operational excellence developing, implementing a best-in-class member and guest experience.
Lead, direct, and manage a growing business with all aspects of the gym operations through the organizational structure in place.
Will be able to maximize efficiencies of all operating systems, both automated and manual.
Will enhance the effectiveness of the Operations function by designing and participating in Operations training for all gyms.
Monitor and maintain the member survey tool, providing feedback to low performers to improve results
Implement new strategies to strengthen club survey scores to main a crisp, clean and friendly in-club experience.
Manage the Member Retention teams and implement strategies to lower attrition and increase the length-of-stay of our member-base
Manage the Loss Prevention department, overseeing in-club operational, membership contracts, certification and safety compliance.
Oversee and partner with Customer Care department to deliver and maintain a best-in-class service experience.
The right person wants to be a strategic partner and critical component of the senior leadership team and be comfortable owning the P&L responsibility for operations on a national scale.
Be actively involved with all company policies, procedures, payroll, maintenance along with financial budgets and goals for the company.
Provides recommendations on training platforms to enhance overall gym customer service performance.
Other special projects as assigned by the CFO.
BA/BS Degree Required, MBA Preferred
Minimum of 10 Years Experience with growing responsibilities in Operational Leadership
Background in multi-unit fitness and/or retail operations required
Ability to Drive Change, Build Organizations, Teams, Processes and Systems
Ability to Communicate, Influence and Own Operational Function
Ability to work with the senior management team of support functions with in the company.
