Job Summary:

The Vice President (VP) of Operations is a crucial leader at ArchWell Health as you will directly influence the operational success of the assigned region. You will lead and support the market management team, have large P&L responsibility, and oversee the assigned region's growth, community relations, and all operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is passionate about transforming healthcare delivery through leadership and innovation.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Strategic management and leadership of operations across approximately 30 locations and multiple distinct markets within the assigned region.

  • Drive growth and operational efficiency in existing and new centers, ensuring profitability and high-quality patient care.

  • Build and maintain high-performing specialty networks for each market, including managing relationships and conducting JOCs with provider groups that highly impact clinical outcomes.

  • Develop and maintain state-level relationships with regulatory bodies (e.g., AHCA) and partner with corporate functions to ensure compliance with local regulations specific to the region.

  • Develop and maintain strong payor relationships at the regional level including holding regular JOCs and communicating relevant insights to corporate leadership. Lead strong growth and expansion efforts, including the launch of new centers and new markets within the region.

  • You will directly lead market-level leaders and oversee the management, and development of colleagues across all centers in the territory, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

  • Manage the P&L over the division; responsible for all regional operations and achieving financial, growth, and operational KPIs; there is a significant focus on growth and member satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure a seamless, patient-centered care model.

  • Engage in strategic planning with the executive leadership team, aligning operational strategies with the broader goals of the company.

  • Partner with medical director(s) to build a collaborative and effective provider culture, that delivers outstanding patient care.

  • Foster relationships with local healthcare providers, health plans, insurance agencies, and community leaders.

  • Adapt operational strategies in response to regulatory changes, ensuring compliance and innovative solutions in healthcare delivery.

  • Spearhead change management initiatives, driving the adoption of best practices and innovative solutions in healthcare delivery.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of the national payer and risk-bearing provider landscape.

  • Strong business acumen; demonstrated experience in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resource modeling, leadership technique, and operations.

  • Track record of developing and implementing processes for providing excellent customer service.

  • Ability to effectively leverage business and organizational knowledge within and across functional areas.

  • Must possess a high degree of emotional intelligence and integrity and a driven and focused work ethic.

  • Self-starter with the ability to think creatively and work effectively.

  • Ability and willingness to travel locally, regionally, and nationwide up to 50% of the time.

  • Candidate is required to reside (or relocate) to the designated region, with strong preference for an ArchWell Health market within that region.

Education and Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Healthcare or Public Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field; Master's or MBA preferred.

  • Minimum of 7 years in a supervisory role in a medical setting, with at least 5 years of multi-site experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years of multi-million-dollar P&L management accountability; prior Medicare Advantage risk pool P&L responsibility preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of direct operational experience in Medicare Advantage, value-based models, managed care, or ACOs.

  • Minimum of 5 years of multisite operations leadership.

  • Minimum of 5 years of medical group operations .

  • A visionary leader with significant experience in healthcare operations, preferably in a multisite, growth-oriented organization.

  • Demonstrated success in P&L management, with a strategic approach to driving profitability and operational efficiency/

  • Deep understanding of Medicare Advantage programs and technology integration in healthcare operations.

  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and drive high performance across diverse teams.

  • A strategic thinker who is also hands-on, capable of navigating complex challenges and seizing opportunities for growth.

  • Experience working in a dynamic environment, comfortable with ambiguity and rapid change.
