Job Summary: The Vice President of People and Culture is a senior executive position with the core responsibility for overseeing all aspects of HR Strategy. This VP plays a strategic role in shaping, implementing, and monitoring human capital programs and policies and will be a strategic partner to ensure these programs and initiatives align with the company vision and fosters a positive work culture. This position will be a critical member of the Kimray Executive Team and have direct oversight over People and Culture, Learning and Development, and Organizational Development.
Essential Job Functions:
Be a loud voice and visible champion of the Kimray culture; fully embracing our core values, mission, and vision.
Partners closely with Officer Team (CEO/CFO/President) to develop P&C strategies in alignment with Kimray culture, strategy and business objectives.
Partners closely with Kimray Executive Team to support business strategy and operations.
Ensures Kimray's values and culture guide the creation of P&C initiatives and programs, integrating its values and culture throughout the team member lifecycle, from hiring to departure from organization.
Nurture relationships with key internal stakeholders to facilitate effective HR partnerships and leverage experience and knowledge to consult on opportunities and challenges.
Drive positive change for the business through cross-functional planning, identification, and strategic implementation of corporate and HR strategies.
Navigate complex challenges and inspire excellence across the organization.
Drive discussion across the organization to align HR objectives with those of the business. Provides in-depth market insight and advises on talent implications of external trends and necessary next steps to address potential workforce implications.
Comprehensive Risk Assessment of Core HR Functions and ensure mitigating strategies are in place.
Advises on the planning and implementation of major business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.
Ensures team members have the necessary tools and training for future requirements.
Informs, directs and consults with department leaders to align human resource objectives with those of the business. Plans coordinates, and implements policies and activities related to employment, compensation, benefits, retention, professional growth, employee development, wellness, and organizational development.
Designs and continually assesses performance management systems and processes that establish and maintain a high level of performance and team member engagement.
Develops and leads implementation of comprehensive compensation and benefits plans, including on-going evaluation to maintain competitiveness and cost-effectiveness.
Develops and leads implementation of comprehensive strategic recruiting and retention plans to build deep and quality talent within Kimray that proactively meets human capital needs.
Establishes credibility throughout the organization as an effective listener and problem solver of people issues. Ensures people issues are identified and resolved quickly.
Establishes and maintains P&C policies and procedures in compliance with legal and regulatory guidelines in all employment related aspects of Kimray.
Provides counsel in employee relations issues and partners with corporate legal when necessary; represents Kimray at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
Defines and leads implementation of effective communication processes and tools that represent and reinforce Kimray culture.

Qualifications:
12+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a high-level HR leadership position.
SHRM or SPHR certifications a plus.
Proven track record of building and leading high-performing HR teams. Developing a deep bench and a strong "coaching tree" which will produce future leadership.
Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives that drive business results.
Experience in developing and implementing Compensation Plans at all levels.
Superior leadership skills, moving a cross-functional group of professionals in a single direction.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
Skilled at navigating conflict in a productive way. Doesn't shy away from conflict, but also doesn't run through conflict in a toxic way.
Results oriented mindset with a focus on delivering value and driving continuous improvement.
Must possess thorough knowledge of employment laws and strategic employee program design and management.
Familiar with Manufacturing and/or Energy industry preferred. Experience dealing with multiple locations throughout the United States. Experience in an organization with thousands of team members with a broad range of compensation is a plus.
