We are seeking a Vice President of Mortgage Lending for the Home Loans Portfolio - NOLA Department.

This role is responsible for the leadership and oversight of the underwriting, closing, secondary marketing, collections, and foreclosure functions for Credit Human's Home Loan business in New Orleans, LA. Credit Human offers agency and portfolio loan options so the incumbent of the role must have skills and experience to lead and manage a diversity of lending requirements and apply them in a way that creates value to our membership. The VP of Mortgage Lending for New Orleans must manage their area productively and compliantly within the dynamic trends occurring in the marketplace.

Highlights:
Lead, coach, develop, and mentor subordinates by setting objectives and providing context to ensure compliant and efficient home loan originations
Ensure regulatory training requirements are met
Measure and monitor productivity and capacity levels to maximize output
Continuously develop and refine processes within the Underwriting, Closing, and Collection functions to deliver work with increasing quality and pace while reducing waste, redundancy, and variance
Advance and expand knowledge of factors impacting loan performance and business unit management to enable the growth of a sustainable portfolio
Accountable to ensure compliant operations and a positive image
Experience:
Required
7 years of experience in the management of or directly involved in underwriting, collection, foreclosure, and loss mitigation of 1st and 2nd lien mortgage loans
5 years of experience managing managers
Expert knowledge of Fannie Mae underwriting and documentation standards

Skilled at developing, interpreting, implementing, and complying with policies and standards for credit and collections
Understanding and management of credit risk theory and the application of knowledge to create desired loan performance
Detailed knowledge of and experience in all functions required to lead a compliant and effective mortgage lending operation
Understanding of laws and regulations pertaining to home lending and collecting
Able to proactively solve problems by understanding its root cause and implementing systemic solutions
Gather, analyze, and utilize conclusions from empirical data when making decisions that affect current and future business
Ability to lead others to achieve desired results
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Mathematical skills to execute statistical computations

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-5:30 pm
Salary Range: $112,000 to $120,000 annually
Flexibility: On site, in office; not remote or hybrid
