As part of the executive leadership team, the Vice President of Marketing is directly responsible for developing and executing the global strategic marketing plan. Serving as the brand steward, the ideal candidate will possess an exemplary creative and analytical skillset with a keen understanding of luxury. Our omni-channel market strategy includes business and marketing plans built to elevate the customer experience in four distinct market sectors Residential, Retail, Hospitality and Contract.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversight of all client-facing digital and print marketing campaigns and activities, including our website and associated analytics. Development and management of all promotional strategies and events, along with direct ownership of all public relations and media communications.

The VP of Marketing will possess extraordinary communication skills in order to facilitate healthy, cross functional collaboration between all departments within the company: sales and sales support, product development, service and operations. A strategic mindset with a passion for exploiting opportunities and leveraging strengths are core competencies for success in this role. This position is based at our HQ in the Dallas/Ft Worth area.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop the annual marketing plan and operational budget, including overarching strategy and tactical plans, which comprise the integrated marketing calendar

  • Develop digital and print marketing campaigns, including social media strategies, to support the launch of more than 600 products each year

  • Provide oversight to all copywriting and production content, ensuring the deliverables are on point with the brand voice and the agreed upon messaging

  • Ensure best-in-class messaging for all branded communications, with tailored, sector-specific brand propositions that correctly exploit our industry leading competencies

  • Oversee the Creative Marketing Directors vision, and execution, of all activities related to the pre and post-production product photography in our on-site studio

  • Leverage and continue to optimize UGC as a complement to our proprietary photography

  • Conduct on-going market insight data analysis, market research, market sizing, and survey-based analysis of market trends and competitive intelligence

  • Maintain executive level relationships with key media players, and actively evaluate and adapt our media buying plans

  • Develop programs, in conjunction with the sales and service teams, that maximize customer retention and enhance the return customer experience

  • Develop and implement strategies to promote community involvement; establish local, national and global relationships through the wise use of sponsorships

  • Maximize all benefits associated with industry partner memberships in trade organizations such as ASID, IIDA, IDS, NEWH and ALA, among others

  • Leverage digital marketing channels and mediums including website, SEO, SEM, email, newsletters, events, video, and Social Media pull-marketing to maximize brand awareness

  • Drive new customers to the brand while building loyalty and repeat business with existing customers

  • Execute advance promotions for all events and trade shows to drive maximum awareness, attendance and ROI

  • Working alongside the International Sales Manager, develop specific international marketing programs to support our growth outside of the USA

  • Build and mentor a high-performance marketing team including talent selection, personalized coaching and development and retention plans

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of ten years experience in marketing related fields with five years working in a senior leadership role

  • Experience in B2B business models, preferably in luxury goods sold within the interior design/architectural trades

  • Demonstrable functional experience in areas of strategic planning, marketing plan ideation, business and market development, market research, promotions and advertising is required

  • Deep understanding of digital marketing mediums including brand development using Social Media platforms, content marketing and proprietary websites is required

  • Historical achievement in website IP development is required along with expertise in managing SEO/SEM

  • A documented portfolio of successful print, online, or other direct marketing campaigns

  • A recorded history of executing and supporting new product launches and related marketing support

  • Demonstrable experience in preparing competitive analyses, customer insight panel surveys, and similar experiences preferred

  • A bachelors degree is required, MBA is preferred
