At Atria, we are recruiting for a Vice President of Human Resources. This is an exciting opportunity to build out the Human Resources function in a high-touch, start-up environment, leading the development and implementation of all HR policies, talent strategy, benefits, compliance, and programs for employee attraction, development and retention. This hands-on role will report to the COO. Salary is dependent on experience: $200,000 - $250,000/year.

Specifically, you will:

  • Collaborate with Atria leadership as a strategic advisor working to build Atria’s brand as a top talent destination
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting process; identify opportunities and lead improvement initiatives related to employment brand management, candidate sourcing, interviewing best practices, and candidate evaluation; author compliant job descriptions
  • Develop and deliver compensation and benefits strategies that appropriately balance competitive market data and best practices, serve as attraction and retention tools, and align with Atria’s culture and values
  • Develop and deploy effective performance management tools, including proper compensation, effective communications, timely training, goal setting, and effective performance appraisal
  • Provide high quality HR data, reporting, analyses, and deep business insights using appropriate HRIS technology
  • Partner with Atria leadership for DEI efforts that convey the company's values, set an example for employees, and help sustain momentum in continuous improvement
  • Lead a small and high performing team that is collaborative and provides high touch HR to employees

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive human resources experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven success in managing full-cycle recruiting, payroll and compensation, benefits, compliance, training, development, and effective performance management
  • Prefer experience in a rapidly growing or start-up environment with a service orientation
  • Deep business acumen and either current knowledge or the ability to learn the healthcare space quickly
  • As a start-up, we need leaders that are willing to be hands-on, proactive, and innovative
  • Stellar communication and relationship building skills
  • Passionate about diversity, equality and inclusion values and initiatives
  • Able to work on site in NYC 50%+ of the time
