Vice President of Finance - Equix

The Vice President of Finance is responsible for leading daily finance team
operations including financial and job reporting, budgeting, billing, and
accounts payable. The candidate will partner directly with executive and
operational leadership and supporting staff to ensure efficient financial
operations throughout the organization. This position reports to the Executive
Vice President and will have significant exposure to senior leadership.

The successful candidate will have a solid track record of managerial accounting
and financial management experience. You will enjoy working in a hands-on
role, where your role will include growing the finance team over time to match
the growth in the company.

Essential Job Functions:

Financial Reporting/Planning

Directly responsible for financial reporting and planning activities.
Manages month-end close process, including oversight of all balance sheet
reconciliations Analyzes current and past trends in key performance indicators.
Leads the annual financial target setting for operating divisions and
quarterly review process. Develops financial models and analyses to support
strategic initiatives.
Provides technical accounting knowledge and expertise to evaluate complex
transactions (i.e. merger activities).
Primary coordinator of external year-end financial audit, including adequate
knowledge base of new accounting pronouncements in order to create GAAP
compliant audited financial statements, footnotes and schedules.
Supports the senior leadership team in external and internal reporting
requirements for board and committee meetings.
Responsible for the direction, development, and oversight of the Finance
Team, including prioritizing, scheduling, and delegating work assignments.
Oversees all finance, tax, and accounting due diligence in connection with
mergers and acquisitions.
Develops and implements the process and methodology to evaluate the adequacy
of the allowance for doubtful accounts.

General

Develops and maintains the accounting policies.
Reviews and maintains current internal control documentation, modifies and
implements internal control procedures.
Direct finance team for all cash management needs
Provides other financial related analysis and support to business units,
including opportunities to increase their and their team's financial literacy.
Participate on cross-functional teams to ensure the continuous, on-going
improvement of processes, methods, productivity and quality, while reducing
costs.

Other

Possesses attributes of a strong team player, including being accountable,
humble, hardworking, and people smart.
Manages multiple competing priorities on a regular basis without sacrificing
the ability to deliver results in a timely and accurate manner.
Works well with all levels of the staff and management, both as a
self-starter and in a team environment with a willingness to "roll up your
sleeves".
Participate as a management staff member in developing and implementing
divisional strategies, actions, tactics and goals.
Is able to plan, organize and lead the work of others.
Leads and develops members of a high performing team.
Serve on benefits committee.
Oversee the organization's credit function.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance.
CPA and/or MBA preferred
10+ years in progressive accounting/finance roles with 5 years' experience
in lead financial role.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proficiency with business systems (preferable Viewpoint), including
experience in implementing a new business system.
Strong team management and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability in building and managing teams and in developing team
members.
Experiences with mergers and acquisition
Construction experience desired
