Convene is looking for a a leader - an extraordinary VP of Field Marketing who can help us supercharge our growth and brand awareness efforts across our growing lines of business and geographical footprints. This position will be instrumental to partnering with our enterprise sales as well as field sales organizations.
The ideal candidate is a growth-minded, proven marketing leader who can drive scalable, integrated marketing campaigns to target accounts, influencer audiences, and decision-making buyer personas. S/He will be critical in developing sales enablement materials, demand generation programs, brand awareness campaigns, and event activations. This role requires a leader that is equal parts creative, operational, collaborative, and revenue-minded. S/He will be someone who whose growth mindset is evident in their work, but who also has a great sense of humor and outlook on life.
The VP of Field Marketing will be playing a key role in both the development and execution of a corporate marketing strategy that's also closely aligned with the unique business objectives of each region. S/He will also be the primary partner for the field sales organization, making sure that both corporate and field marketing activities and initiatives are developed in close coordination with local customer trends and feedback. S/He will report to our Chief Brand Officer, but will also work very closely with our Head of Growth and Product Marketing. Specific responsibilities include:
Leading and delivering field marketing campaigns that encompass demand generation activities, local events, partner relations, and sales enablement initiatives with a team of field marketers and corporate marketers, ensuring messaging and branding alignment across the regions.
Execute an account-based strategy by helping to acquiring and retaining top regional and national accounts for each of our product lines
Oversee multi-channel marketing programs that integrate online and offline activities which include regional events, social, content, email, direct mail, and paid advertising, and PR.
Drive regional marketing planning, budgeting and performance reporting for each region, and track progress against our overall marketing plan.
Manage a team of field marketers to exceed key business metrics that include regional brand awareness, qualified leads, bookings revenue, and product adoption.
Undertake continuous analysis of competitive environment, customer and competitor trends. Analyze Convene's regional audiences, determining a nuanced strategy for each product, market segment, customer, influencer and other strategic relationships.
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Brand Management, Marketing, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
12+ years of experience in Marketing, 7+ years successfully leading Field Marketing efforts
A strategic thinker with meticulous attention to detail; the ability to understand the overall business and marketing strategy, translate that into an acquisition strategy and guide the team through execution
A strong understanding of all offline and online marketing channels, including advertising, events, social, ecommerce, lead buys and content sponsorships
A proven ability to launch new geographies, including previous experience with executing complex, global, multi-language and cross channel marketing campaigns
Demonstrated hands-on proficiency with Marketo and Salesforce.com.
Excellent collaboration skills (in particular with Sales teams) and the ability to influence and motivate team members, especially those that don't report to you.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage various projects based on the current business requirements and landscape.
Ability to flourish in an extremely fast-paced, high-growth environment.
High degree of personal drive and able to pursue own intuition and vision
