As the Vice President of Digital Infrastructure and Technology Strategy and Chief of Staff to the Chief Digital Infrastructure Officer (CDIO), you will play a pivotal role in aligning strategic initiatives and driving operational excellence within the digital infrastructure and technology organization. Reporting directly to the CDIO, you will provide strategic support, project leadership, and serve as a trusted advisor, while also overseeing key functions typically associated with a chief of staff role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Support: Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to the CDIO on technology investments, emerging trends, and potential risks, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities.

  • Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional projects and initiatives, overseeing end-to-end execution and driving results in a fast-paced, demanding environment.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, representing the CDIO's office and effectively communicating key messages and initiatives.

  • Coalition Building: Foster collaboration across departments and business units, leveraging your leadership skills to align teams and drive consensus on strategic objectives.

  • Operational Oversight: Oversee key operational functions within the CDIO's office, including budget management, resource allocation, and performance tracking.

  • Strategic Planning: Assist the CDIO in developing and executing long-term technology strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.

  • Decision Support: Provide analytical support and insights to inform decision-making processes, conducting research and analysis on industry trends and competitive landscapes.

  • Executive Support: Serve as a trusted advisor to the CDIO, providing counsel and support on a wide range of strategic and operational matters.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 15+ years of experience in leadership roles within the technology domain, with a proven track record of providing strategic support, project leadership, and operational oversight.

  • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge and expertise across digital infrastructure, artificial intelligence, cloud capabilities, and cybersecurity infrastructure, with a strong understanding of industry best practices and emerging trends.

  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, build coalitions, and drive results in a fast-paced, demanding environment.

  • Strategic Thinking: Strategic mindset with a focus on aligning technology strategies with organizational goals and priorities, driving consensus and alignment across the organization.

  • Chief of Staff Experience: Experience in a chief of staff or similar role, with a proven ability to oversee key operational functions and provide strategic support to senior executives.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, PMP) preferred.

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and execute strategic plans that align with the company's goals and objectives.

  • Provide insights and recommendations to enhance organizational effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the government contracting industry, including regulations, compliance requirements, and market trends. Stay abreast of industry developments and competitive intelligence to inform decision-making.

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the executive office, including managing schedules, prioritizing tasks, and coordinating meetings and events. Anticipate potential challenges and proactively address them to ensure smooth operations.

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external communications on behalf of executive leadership. Prepare executive communications, presentations, and reports with precision and attention to detail. Foster open and transparent communication channels across the organization.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, board members, government officials, and industry partners. Facilitate productive interactions and represent the company professionally in all engagements.

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives and special projects as assigned by executive leadership. Drive project planning, execution, and monitoring to achieve desired outcomes within established timelines and budgets.

  • Provide comprehensive support to executives, including but not limited to, researching and analyzing complex issues, preparing briefing materials, and managing confidential information with discretion and integrity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, public policy, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

  • 15 years of experience with proven experience in a similar role supporting executive leadership in a government contracting or related industry.

  • Exceptional business acumen with a thorough understanding of government contracting regulations, processes, and best practices.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely.

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of driving results and fostering collaboration across teams.

  • Proficiency in project management tools and software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant applications.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure

Pay Transparency

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
